From everyone's experience here which is the best email marketing platform for a small business?
I'm looking for super fast activation email sends no matter how much volume you are doing and almost zero downtime...
We did use a company called Pure360 and they weren't very good!
Hey
there are a bunch out there.
how much volume are you talking about?
If its non affiliate / make money online -> mailchimp is awesome
Otherwise checkout:
aweber
icontact
getresponse
icontact seemed to cope best with high volume mailing when using a API to add contacts.
Tijn
Thanks!
At most we are talking about 100,000 per month.
iContact sounds the best from what you said as we do add contacts using API.
Interspire + Amazon SESw/new SMTP functionality = Win
Yup, got the email a few days ago and now you can set your smtp to tls://email-smtp-server.Amazon.com.
I sent out test messages and work like a charm. Way easier to integrate than using the API. still need to create smtp credentials, confirm the email you're sending from and ramp up production volume slowly but IMO its the best solution by far on the market now.!
cool! it should help prevent your IP from getting blacklisted as well?
Amazon handles all deliverability issues. IP rep etc etc. And the cost per thousand emails is unbeatable
I do a lot of emails (relative I guess) 5k per day. I use TheBat Autoresponder and looking for an economical solution. Is the Amazon solution something that would work for me? I don't receive complaints but was recently blocked by hotmail which I believe is from volume. My 1 domain name emailing 1000 hotmails per day. Hope I did not Hijack thread. Thanks for info.
Amazon's SES service is like the rest of their services. They aggressively build out a huge infrastructure, and then charge you a fraction of what it would cost to do it yourself. They manage reputation, IP blacklisting, all complaints, etc. The solution proposed here would probably be ideal for your setup or most other setups for that matter. 10 cents for 1000 emails pretty much guaranteed delivered is lower than you'll find anywhere else
