Push for e-mail list

Hi,

Any advice would be welcome.
I want to build an e-mail subscriber list to a weekly gambling newsletter. To basically collect optin subscribers for an aweber list
Do you think that Push would be a good option for me ?

Push traffic works well for email collection, the question is, how much engaged such list would be, since there are very limited targeting options available at pretty much all push traffic sources. It's quite common for affiliates who are using push traffic, to run into lead quality problems because of this.

On the other hand, push traffic is cheap so why not give it a go. It might be a good idea to heat the users up a bit though, for example by sending them to a gambling related site to see whether they really are interested... sample of the newsletter maybe etc ... so not just a simple landing page, but to really show them what you are about to send them later on. That could improve the engagement rate and pre-qualify the leads a bit.

Yes the plan would be to send to freespins website that is rich in content but doesn't currently rank in the serps as its new. maybe ab test send thing directly to home , which has CTA for the newsletter sign up or send directly to a newsletter signup form.

I will give it a try.

There seem to be many push traffic sources , I was a bit reluctant to use megapush their payment gateway kind of scared me off. Maybe im paranoid.
Any suggestions for good sources ?

Megapush is ok, it's one of the largest push networks out there. The only problem there is the overspending issue, their algo has problems to respect the daily budgets, so always start with very low ones. Oh and since you mentioned payment gateway, they don't issue invoices for smaller purchases, so keep that in mind in case you need those for accounting. They used to only generate invoices for $1000+ deposits, not sure what the threshold is now.

A few more to try that are generally considered solid would be: propellerads, richpush, zeropark, adsmaven, datspush ... and a bigger list along with a nice set of tips can be found in this recent thread: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...f-Push-Traffic
