Hey filipr83

I can totally understand the overwhelming feeling you're getting just from the amount of info floating in here. But the good news are - its easy to digest, if you have a goal in mind!

I am not sure what your past experience with marketing in, but if you're totally green, I highly recommend checking out https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...ntro-and-Index

I think you're a little too early to start overthinking here about what's outdated or not. To be honest, the Voluum 40 day tutorial is basically an on-boarding plan for any newbie new to AM that explain a lot of core concepts.
Just take your time, relax and just read all the topics in the 40 day tutorial. Afterwards, come back and start following step by step. What you'll need to ease your headache, is a cloud hosted tracker first (if you are technical person, you can give a try self-hosting) and setting aside 10-15$. That's somewhere around a price for a movie ticket And then use that money from any affiliate network offer you picked, and run very cheap traffic.

I actually followed Voluum tutorial with another tracker and the difference between them isn't that big of a deal. What you'll want to learn and re-read many, many times is this topic: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-Read-This-Now

And finally, if you stick with POPs, because that's what you'll learning in 40 day tutorial, I cannot recommend this enough (by Mrbraun): https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...t-POP-traffic!

Even if topics or guides are older than a year or two, there is still a lot of information that is very important to learn about.
When you've finally got the basics of setting up a campaign, go back and re-read everything and then finally start exploring forums for traffic sources, networks and the general forum

Good luck and you can PM me with more questions if you have

I agree with everything that daliu5 posted above.

The 40-day tutorial is still your best bet, it will take you through all the basics, step by step. And even though some parts of the original tutorial might be outdated, all the fundamentals are still the same. And Amy has been updating and rewriting many of the lessons.

The differences between the various trackers are not that dramatic either, most of them follow the same logic, so once you learn how to work with one of them, It's gonna be pretty easy to apply the knowledge to another one.

And we are always here to help you out in case you get stuck, just ask for help and we'll sort you

Cheers,
Matej.

Howdy my friend,

40 day guide - introduction to everything affiliate marketing. Understanding the terminology, understanding how to setup tracker, understanding how to read data and metrics. Yes it is outdated in some ways, but its almost timeless in others involving all the above.

Once you can set up everything - you can then pick any traffic source that interests you.

If you're lower budget I suggest running push traffic, it is easy to optimise and its still making profit for a lot of people in 2019. Pick an offer in the $6-12 range payout, maybe a CC sweep in a european geo, maybe you can use your advantage of Polish tongue and run some campaigns in your own native language, without the need to translate.

My personal favourite sources are Megapush, Datspush, Propeller, Revcontent, Lizard Leads

If you're still having trouble I suggest you search this - https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-are-some-tips
