Hi

Can anyone tell me if its possibly to track with a tracking software whilst direct linking to a CB offer please?

It's 100% possible.
In Voluum it's quite simple - while creating a campaign you simply select direct linking option and add an offer.

Can you tell me how it works please? I've been asking various other tracking companies and the general feedback has been that it's not possible without a landing page.

I think they just didn't understand your question, because every tracker I know can still track conversions and other metrics when directlinking.

The way it works is simple. You still have to send traffic through a campaign URL, so the click goes to the tracker first, so the tracker can record all the data about the user (country, device ...). The trackers labels it with a clickid and with properly configured offer urls, this id will be passed to the network (CB). Then all it takes is for the network to launch the postback url, once a conversion happens. This way, the tracker knows what click converted (nbased on the clickid passed through the postback) and can assign all the data to it, for you to analyze.

The only problem here might be some special setup of CB, I'm not sure what it's like since it's been ages I've used them for the last time. But in case they support postbacks, there is no reason for a directlink to not be track-able.

If CB is short for clickbank then you just need to use tid for storing the subid from the tracker.

Prosper202 will automatically format it for you and also automatically pull conversions via their api.
