I was wondering if its possible and or even worth it to create an opt in on a LP to input a email and then send users to something like a sweeps offer..
Also is it possible after a conversion is made to send the user to another offer? or in the case that they try to leave the offer page to redirect them to another offer?
Im not sure if affiliates have this much control once it reaches the offer page and i was wondering if someone can answer this !
There was a similar question here today: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-to-the-offers
So technically, yes it is possible to collect leads for both yourself and the advertiser, with certain setup. But you have to handle this at the LP level, once the user leaves your landing page and lands on the offer, you don't have control over them anymore. I think with certain co-reg offers, the advertisers might be willing to send the registration data back to you, but those leads will pay less for sure. It's also necessary to add that such leads usually have lower value, since multiple parties will try to monetize them at the same time.
It is definitely possible to do and pretty easy to implement.
Collect their email on a landing page --> redirect them to an offer right after --> use their email to send them other offers.
This is something that would work for a targeted traffic, capturing niche specific leads. (Think car insurance, or education offers, or online courses)
But with sweepstakes, I highly doubt it is sustainable. Some of the questions I can think of:
Which email provider are you going too use? (Since majority of the mainstream ones will not allow a setup like this and will ban you right away).
What other offers/content will you be sending them, granted they signed up in hopes of winning that FREE iphone and chances are, by the time you start your email campaign, they will very well know that it's all just a scam to get their information.
Bottom line, the CTR drop you will get on your landing page, by not redirecting right away to an offer (and your CTR WILL go down 100%) is not worth it in my opinion. It will be very hard to monetize those kind of low quality "leads" on the backend.
I haven't tested this myself, but the Great Caurmen once told me that he did some testing by capturing emails first (I think in an entry pop) before showing visitors the usual lander, and lander CTR was NOT significantly decreased as a result.
I think he shared this in the forum too, but can't find it anymore for the life of me. So you can treat this as heresay - or do your own testing to find out.
