😱Tap into UNTAPPED Traffic Source with One Secret Weapon 🔫

Hi STM fam!

I’m thrilled to announce exclusively on STM my latest project called Adnalytics.

Adnalytics is the marketing intelligence tool for Pinterest advertisers. You can see what products are hot, which stores are killing it and what creatives are using when scaling their Pinterest campaigns.

Before I started scaling the Wild Boar Liquidator project I was duplicating campaigns from Facebook to Pinterest. As I was getting more familiar with the Pinterest ad platform I noticed a huge opportunity on this unsaturated network. Last December I teamed up with my two good friends and we start working part-time on this project. After countless hours of testing, developing,
brainstorming and planning we're ready to onboard first users.

This is some kind of closed-beta launch. The tool is not published anywhere else and we hope we will receive some feedback from you guys, so we can make the tool even better for the big launch next month. As we speak, we are working on case studies with beta testers, Pinterest tutorials and webinars how to take advantage of Pinterest.

Here are some interesting facts about Pinterest:

Main Features

When we’re developing features we always talking about techniques I’m using when doing manual research for particular advertisers/competitors/etc.

Promoted Pin Search
You can search promoted pins based on the pin title and description. As we speak, we are working to also search on URL and promoted landing page.

Number of Saves
Social proof is a significant indicator if something is attractive and people like it. Users of Pinterest are NOT used to commenting a lot. Rather, when they like something, they SAVE IT.

You can sort all the promoted pins based on the number of saves.

Trending
Check out the most popular advertisers and get inspired by their adverts. Once per day we refresh the table where you can find the top 25 Pinterest advertisers.

Similar Web IntegrationWe have integrated Similar Web so you don’t need to open a new tab to see how much traffic advertiser is receiving from Pinterest. For each advertiser, you can see metrics such as Total Visits, Percentage of Social Traffic, and Volume of Pinterest Visits.

Average Pin Position – BETA
Every time our system detects an ad we calculate and save the position of the ad. Once per day we calculate the average pin position for each promoted pin. We're still developing and optimizing this feature.

Big Brands
There are many big advertisers on Pinterest such as Levis, Birchbox, GAP, Home Depot and others that are not that relevant.

Most of them are not creative, and they are selling their unique products. With a simple toggle button, you can hide all ads from big brands advertisers.

Soon you will be able to make a customized list of brands that you don’t want to appear in the feed.

Shopify?
For each Promoted pin you can see if the advertiser is sending the traffic to a Shopify store.

There are many other features already live and even more features in the development.

What a contribution to the industry!

I had the privilege of being a beta-tester - and this tool looks so badass that, for the first time, I had no suggestions to give!

A couple of other big affiliates have told me about their success with this "new" traffic source as well - I'm certainly planning on jumping onboard soon and would advise anyone else to do the same - while it's still relatively untapped!

Great job as usual @wakeboarder!

Very interesting. Is there anything that you're NOT doing? lol

I am not too familiar with Pinterest but what sort of verticals would work on there? The last time I checked, it was mostly female oriented stuff like fashion, interior design, cooking, etc.

It's mostly female oriented stuff. It looks like Survey/Coupon is also one niche, but I need to do more research on it, I don't know anything about. When I do, I will write it here in this thread.

eCommerce/Fashion

This is by far the most popular niche when it comes to paid advertising and SBO/Shopify stores.

Here are a few examples:

Women's fashion Shopify store
Similar Web

As you can see from the above they are pushing just traffic from Pinterest. And it's now organic.

Men's fashion Shopify store
Similar Web

"Beautiful-Solution-Bringers"

Also, beautiful-solution-bringers products that you can find on sugarandcotton.com are popping up lately.

Similar Web

Beauty Related VLSs

This is not on the list of top most popular niches, but there are some new advertisers that I believe are doing good in this niche (CB and direct offers).

For the last couple of months I'm observing advertisers on a daily basis and I can see more small advertisers are running ads lately. Which I believe it's a great and will help Pinterest to become mainstream sooner.

Not so long ago Pinterest published a case-study with Flaviar (Subscription for spirits enthusiasts). I know the guy that's in charge for paid user-acquisition and he told Pinterest is doing very good for them for on-boarding new customers. I hope I can arrange an interview with the guy. He has very performance-driven approach and I know he can share tips that help others.

Cheers,
wakeboarder

I had a quick look at it Yesterday and am I correct to say that you can only advertise your own pins?

You can not just setup an ad and run that?

So if I would want to promote different ecommerce offers I would have to create different Pinterest profiles for them? Or create multiple boards and pins in an account and promote those?

I can see it being quite interesting, anyone knows of any case studies or courses on Pinterest advertising?

03-20-2019 09:17 AM #12 wakeboarder (Member)

@eurosen, you can setup an ad and run it, but It's not like dark post on Facebook.

Each Promoted pin can have unique link/offer so there is not not to create different Pinterest profiles for them.

When you have business account ready, you create an ad (Pin) inside business manager, select targeting, link and board and that's it.

AFAIK there is no proper course for Pinterest adverting.

With some of our beta-testers working on case-studies but I cannot say when it will be live.

Looks awesome, good luck!

Sounds interesting, need to take a look at it.
the last time I tested Pinterest running ads to my drop-shipping store I saw Pinterest recommending the same exact products much cheaper from sites like wish, ebay and AliExpress below my paid pins, so I concluded Pinterest is not a good platforms for dropshippers unless you use your own pictures.
But I hope I am wrong because I see a lot of potential here.

Sure, any feedback is much appreciated. Also, I'm open to any feature request.

It looks like DS is still a thing on Pinterest, especially in fashion and Home decor niches.

Yes, Pinterest ads are available in Netherland. Maybe a bit more than 1 month now.

At the moment we don't collect NL ads inside our tool. It will be available in two weeks.

Hey wakeboarder - great stuff man! Very cool

Just out of curiosity, are you seeing any classic lead-gen type ads on Pinterest? Stuff like auto insurance, life insurance, refi, etc?

Any chance there is an updated coupon code?
