Sweeps & Facebook = €$€ (11)

Sweeps & Facebook = €$€

Hey everyone!

I’ve been running sweeps on FB quite a bit in the past, but I’ve faced account problems. Here’s a bit about my previous situation. My background with previous campaigns on FB.

Now I’ve found somekind of a temporary solution for the account problem. Haven’t solved it completely for the long-term yet. My goal for this FA is to document my journey and maybe find, network and meet other FB-focused affiliates.

Before I got my account banned, I run camps pretty well doing low xxx/day profits. Now I’ve re-launched the camps and here’s some initial camp results:

17.10 So far:

CPC is crazy high at the moment. I started the camp with my best ad image I used to run this camp. Back then I got 0.11e CPC (which isn’t superior but still pretty good imo). My current cpc might be caused by the new ad account and a new page. Also need to keep the camp running if the cpc decreases a bit. My target cpc for this camp is between 0.05 - 0.10. (I know I shouldn't have this kind of goals since I should optimize for EPC, but this is bc I don't track spesific ad performance at the moment. My next steps with this camp:

- Test 5-10 ad images
- Moderating unwanted comments

I scheuduled a new camp to start tomorrow morning. Before I got my previous account banned, i got 15% CR with my lander and CPCs were ok (can’t remember accurately), but there was a lot of room for optimization. I got 5 different ad images and one proven lander to test.

I like to keep my ad copies as compliant as possible to avoid negative feedback. I also avoid making misleading promises which of course will bring me lower ROI, but since I don’t have a stable stream of accounts, I really need to avoid getting banned.

Additional info

- No cloaking
- No tracker at the moment. I will propably use Binom in the future to make proper lander split-testing and ad tracking possible.

If you are also running sweeps on FB, please hit me up and lets share knowledge!

I highly recommend to track anything cause cheap clicks is by far not all to make that profitable. It is absolutely necessary to see what is converting and what not. if you have Binom not ready use bemob so long. they have a free hosted plan which should be enough for the first and is easy to setup. i use this also to track my campaigns in FB. good luck

Thanks for your reply!

I used Voluum in the past and got my campaigns rejected because of it. That also might be the reason I got banned. Getting a proper no-redirect tracking is definitely one of the most important task to do next.

you just have to use a tracking pixel. I think Voluum have it and also bemob is ready for that. I use pixel an LP and have no problems so far. The only problem is that you cannot splittest Landingpages in an automated way. But thats the way it works..

Exactly. Use direct pixel tracking - https://doc.Voluum.com/en/direct_tracking_pixel.html

UPDATE 18.10

Camp 1

Revenue 30€
Ad Spend 12,62€
Avg CPC 0,17€
PROFIT 17.38€
ROI 137,7%

Notes:

Average CPC decreased a lot. It’s still quite high and there are still a lot of room for optimization regarding CPC. Conversion rate of my lander ~13% which is good. Going to test more images to lower my CPC between 0,05-0,10€

There’s a lot of room optimization since I could decrease the cpc by 50% easily. Also there’s more similar offers to test, and my LPs should be split-tested also.

———

CAMP 2 (My newest camp)

Revenue 9€
Ad Spend 5,82€
Avg CPC 0,28€
PROFIT 3,18€
ROI 54,6%

Notes:

CR for this 25% which was surprisingly good since my LP is non-aggressive and I haven’t optimized it yet. CPC is super high again, so also a lot of room for optimization.

Need to test more images to lower my CPC. This camp could have a huge potential.

I fixed a little bit my ad copy and tried to persuade people to comment and even start discussing about different topics at the comment section. I’ve read that this could affect positively on CPC and general page and account score.

I got an opportunity to open 4 ad accounts more (5 in total now) and decided to create them. I am not completely sure how I should deal with these. Need to get more CCs and attach them with the accounts. But in terms of daily ad spend I maybe should just split the campaigns and keep ad spend per account as low as possible. Could someone elaborate if this is what I should do?

Todays ad spend didn’t reach my daily budgets that I wanted and set. Not sure what might cause this. Camp 1’s budget should have been 20€ and the second camp should have spent 10€, but they spent only 12 and 5 euros. Not sure if I got some kind of manual review or ban. At least I couldn’t see anything suspicious happening on my BM.

We’ll see what’s happening tomorrow!

Wow. You make this profit with such a high CPC :-)? this is amazing.
Could i ask you how much is the payout for your offer and is it a SOI?
Is it tier1 ?

That´s so great. this gives me more motivation. I am just wait for some technical stuff going online to test new Geos. It looks like there is so much to earn in FB with sweeps. !!! good job

and you did no tracking and optimisation? I cannot believe it AMAZING

Yup!

Yes. This is a low payout SOI offer. I have previously ran a lot of pop traffic and I've learned that the offer is the most important variable in your funnel. When running pop campaigns you must have a great offer to make profits. Maybe I am just lucky with my campaigns but I think FB is much easier to make profits (when it comes to running the campaigns itself) because the traffic quality is the best you could find and there's so much targeting options. Personally my main problem has been how to deal with account issues. Of course I haven't even scaled my camps yet but my initials results without optimization are quite promising.

Even though FB traffic is good, I think it's super important that the offer page is optimized and it's proven that it converts. Also the payout should be high enough.

After realizing that my camps weren't reaching people at all, I got a bit afraid of getting my account banned. I stopped all of the camps since I was thinking that I should run more legit WH CPA camps to "warm" my account / domain more. Not sure if this is a good thing to do. I've got billed only two times now and the next bill will be 200€. Guess I should run WH CPA camps on my domain until I've reached that third automatic billing threshold.

Today I got Binom to track offers more accurately. I have two different campaigns running now and started to test several offers (6 offers for the camp 1, and 3 for the second camp).

Overall ROI and profits for these previous days aren’t as good as I thought it would be. CPCs are still high as hell even though I have tested my ”proven” images and some new images too.
At this point I think it is crucial to keep my head down and keep the account alive as long as possible. Because of that I’ll try to get good ROI and keep the daily spend around 50-70€ /day.

Some of the offers that I’ve tested are showing a great potential since they are giving me 10-25% CR depending of the day. I’ve tested only one super compliant lander which also has a lot of room for optimization if I just start testing. My main problem is that I am not 100% how I should use Binom properly when runnning camps on FB bc it’s obvious that I can’t put my binom tracking link to the FB ads manager.

One of my campaign is getting a huge amount of comments (xxx) and a lot of those aren’t from people that have actually converted. I’ve been replying for them and tried to make them click my ads and engage with it. I’d get a huge positive impact on my ROI if I could get them to my lander since the lander CTR and CR is super good. The only problem is that I am a bit afraid of spamming my lander link on the comment section since I really don’t want to get flagged.

Here’s some rough stats:

19.10
Revenue 18 €
Ad Spend 75€
PROFIT -57€
ROI -24%

33€ of that ad spend was a stupid attempt to test one WH offer which didn’t convert at all. Dumped it.

20.10
Revenue 63 €
Ad Spend 44€
PROFIT 19€
ROI 43,1%

CPCs in overall were too high to give better ROI, as you can see:

--

At this point I really should get my CPCs down. Going to get more ad images to test. Also need to consider editing my ad copy and angles that are quite softy.

I'll probably write my next update tomorrow.

Another update:

21.10 Overall stats
Revenue 70 €
Ad spend 58 €
PROFIT 12€
ROI +20,6%

Nothing special yesterday. Overall CPC decreased a little bit and ROI dropped bc I started testing different offers.
