Confuse on how postback URLs work and how to integrate them (12)

I have just recently joined the forum in order to add into my marketing mix some Paid traffic affiliate offers since my main occupation (SEO affiliate) is taking too long to scale. Everything in paid advertising seems ideal BUT only one problem. The theory is perfect but when going into the technical things of setting up a tracker everything seems to be confusing. So i have tried over the last week to set up multiple platforms with multiple networks and trackers but so far I have no lack in getting something right.


My issue:


I am trying to set up peerclick with PopAds and Mobidea but I am not sure If I understand correctly what each element does.


1) Peerclick has global POSTBACK url which looks like this:
http://track.xtracker.xyz/postback?c...&txid=OPTIONAL (track.xtracker.xyz - is my custom domain)
2) on Mobidea there is a global Postback URL section that looks like this:

https://prnt.sc/kdd1c6

So what I am not sure what I have to do here.


3) Furthermore, when I am trying to set up an affiliate network on Peerclick, I get this:
https://prnt.sc/kdcy1m

4) and then the offer url on mobidea looks something like this:
https://www.rotatemyurls.com/offer/149073|17020?data1=Track1&data2=Track2&tag={subid} &website={subID}&placement={sub_subID}


5) Setting up an offer on peerclick looks like this:

https://prnt.sc/kdcz4b


So I am not sure what I have to edit, replace or match. Anyone able to help?

Just did a quick search and looks like {{DATA3}} is the dynamic token you want to place in your postback with Mobidea. So your postback in Mobidea would look like this:

http://track.xtracker.xyz/postback?cid={{DATA3}}&payout=OPTIONAL&txid=OPTION AL

I would confirm with your AM that {{DATA3}} is still the correct token to use though.

Thanks for the guide. The think is that I am using peerclick and Thrive which seem to be different to voluum. But I guess I have to fail until I find out how to do it!

Voluum uses cid just like your postback does. You should be able to follow that guide still. The fundamentals of most trackers are the same.

I have tried this but I still have some small questions:
1) Peerclick offers a global Postback URL which is: http://track.xtracker.xyz/postback?c...&txid=OPTIONAL but also provides another Postback URL when I am setting up a new affiliate network which is: http://pstb.peerclicktrk.com/postbac...tatus=OPTIONAL .
Which one of the two should I match with Mobidea tokens and set it as Mobidea global postback URL?
Also, should the postbacks be the same on mobidea and peerclick? Do i have to edit the Peerclick postback URL to be the same like the one that i have set up in mobidea?

Furthermore, When I am adding a new offer URL, how should i edit the link?

In most cases global postback is what you need to set, so you don't have to set it each time for each offer.

If you for any case in the future change tracker or your tracking domain, you would have to replace it in each offer instead of replacing it in one place - globally.

Here is how one of my offers looks at Mobidea (it's from some time ago, but should work):

http://www.domain.mobi/?sl=xx3f1-3dfcd&data3={clickid}

In the global postback settings I just set my domain as they set everything else:

xyz.voluumtrk.com

I didn't postback conversions back to Mobidea, but that you would have to set in your affiliate network settings in your tracker.

Let me clear up your questions about Global Postback settings on Mobidea.

We recommend you to set up a Global Postback of Peerclick

The correct tokens of Mobidea for your Postback URL will be {{EXTERNAL_ID}} and {{MONEY}}

So, you just need to save this Postback URL in your Mobidea account:
1. http://track.xtracker.xyz/postback?cid={{EXTERNAL_ID}}&payout={{MONEY}}

As for the Offer URL, the only mandatory token to use is tag - which is responsible for click id. There is no need to keep data1 and data 2 in your URL.
http://www.rotationurls.com/offer/12345|C54321?tag={add here your click ID token}

Based on the screenshot you sent above your token will be {clickid} and Offer URL consequently

2. http://www.rotationurls.com/offer/12345|C54321?tag={clickid}
