Hey guys,
If your running legit stuff and not trying to do blackhat stuff -- Here is something you may not have known that can keep you from getting banned in the future:
I got banned twice in the past couple of years. Since then i've acquired a FB Rep on one of my new accounts and a 30k a day budget, a legit account. Not a bought account. So I feel I can give you some insight on how to KEEP from getting banned once you get a new account up and running. Also - I agree with Riley and anyone else that says all you need is a new creditcard # to get a new account usually.
Things you need to do to prevent getting banned:
1. You get 3 strikes on each account before your banned.
2. The first strike you get may not be for anything your running "Right Now", rather - something you've run in the past that is paused.
3. Facebook audits paused campaigns when they review your account. They aren't "smart enough" to understand that old campaigns with old affiliate links sometimes are auto-redirected to an offer that is not reflecting that of the ad we originally wrote. Therefore, it's our responsibility to DELETE all old campaigns so we don't get in trouble for something we didn't even do. My rep told me this is b/c "The paused ads have potential to be activated again and could be considered 'cloaked' by an auditor".
That is new information to me when I heard it.
So if your getting banned and you dont know "why?". It's prob. b/c of an old/paused campaign that has a dead affiliate link that the network is auto-redirecting to a cpa wall or adult-friend finder.
Be careful guys, clean up your old mess. It sucks to delete old camps and old data. But - if you wanna keep your FB account, better safe than sorry.
Hope this helps everyone.
Damnit - I messed up the title of this thread. "How To Keep Yourself From Getting Banned:"!
Interesting. Didn't know they had a 3 strike rule.
A gaming offer went down in France, and it was redirecting to an email submit, and the campaign was paused as well and had 55 disapproved ads. Had a 95% approval rate until then. Not good!
I am pretty sure they are checking more often now since it's the end of the year, and approval team is being more lenient, therefore causing them to re-check everything.
I totally this, thanks.
Not so sure about "3 strikes" for per account. I've had plenty of accounts banned on a whim.
How'd you get a rep?
I don't really know - They reached out to me. Said I was a valued advertiser and spent a lot of money.
I think the minimum requirement is to spend at least 20-30k a month consistently on FB.
I'm not sure though, so don't take my word on that.
Heh, the thread title had me google the world "Legitly" since I've never seen that word being used. The results made me LOL.
Putting that aside, good input in making sure that our paused campaigns are compliant. Google does the same exact thing, if you have a campaign that is paused in Adwords and leads to a non-compliant URL, they will take down your account. Keep in mind that the person that was responsible for all the anti-affiliate movement in Google was also hired by Facebook over a year ago.
Hey - I'm from Mississippi: The most under educated state in the US =P
I do have a BA: in History and English though (Look how well that's doing for me!)
LuLz: Urban Dictionary Definition for "Legityly":
Term used by idiots as the full word based on the abbreviation 'legit'. these people are idiots because they do not know the word legitimately. dumbasses.

thanks for the tips man! i'm about to set up a new account.
Anyway, when you set up this new account after you were banned, you only used a new CC, nothing else? no new IP and proxy etc?
Marcovandaar - All I did was use a new CC # and it worked perfect for me.
Solid tips Adrian. What tools/software are you guys using to track offers that redirect (after being expired, capped, etc.)?
I've looked at www.changedetect.com. Free and it sends you an email when a webpage changes.
