Trying to make a come back- Looking for tips :)

Hi guys!
I just signed up again after a long absence. Back in the days I made a decent money during 2013-2015 with adult traffic but as the time went by I stopped earning enough for my living and left this business completly. I got hired for some 9am-5pm job which made me very very very frustrated. I'm looking to bounce back and make some cash with affiliate marketing again so I signed up to this forum and looking to get some new ideas from you guys.
I'm looking to make at least $100 a day for the beginning so I will be able to quit my depressing day job. I'm just not built for this sh*t.... Any tips on how to make it in the affiliate marketing world in 2018?

Many thanks!

Welcome back

Since you mentioned adult traffic, I wrote a how-to-start article for adult traffic like a year ago, but most of the info in there still holds true ... maybe except for the carrier billing offers, those declined a lot.

Check it out and let me know if you have some questions : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...here-you-start

Thanks Matuloo! I've just read most of it...which tracking system that is easy to use can you recommend to me that can work well with adult traffic?

Hey Whereisthemoney,

welcome back, hope you crush it!
Have you tried Voluum? In my experience it’s one of the most stable trackers out there. Thrive is also good. I just started testing FunnelFlux, and it's looking good, but I don’t have much experience with it to recommend it, they are also focused directly towards affiliates

Welcome back!

Regarding tracker choice:

I would recommend newbies to start with Voluum because it's the most newbie-friendly and the most widely-used - therefore most documentation out there on how to make other stuff work with trackers (aff networks, traffic networks, etc.) will be on Voluum. Same goes for tutorials and case studies.

Once you have some experience and starting to run more traffic and/or need to create more complex funnels, FunnelFlux will be perfect. It's a self-hosted solution that can save you a ton of money compared to Voluum if you're running lots of traffic. I've done a comparison of several trackers here (based on cost considerations):

Hope that helps!

Definitely use Voluum! It's more than worth. As a newbie I've used other ones and they don't compare.

As far as making money try Afflow (now monetizer plus). Here are 2 guides that can help:

This will help you hit the ground running. You won't to worry about creating landing pages and what not. I'm currently making XX in profits with it. Hoping to cross XXX mid next week.

Good luck! STM is the place to learn and suceed if you really want to!

Doesn't matter if it's adult traffic or not, the principle is the same.

Voluum is a popular and reliable choice, FunnelFlux is another one ... one is cloud hosted (Voluum) with price based on amount of traffic you run through it, the other one is selfhosted (funnelflux) with a fixed monthly fee + the server cost. Cloud is easier to start with, self hosted can be cheaper with higher traffic volumes.

Check the thread Amy linked for more detailed info and cost breakdown.

Welcome back to forums.

I also still use Voluum as my no. 1 tracking choice, though considering to use FunnelFlux for features like deeper funnel building (ie. LP1 -> LP2 -> Offer) which should be easily possible with it.

If you are still at affiliate networks consider hitting up your old AMs (some may be out from companies though) to get some more ideas from them, what's working in 2018 and what's not.

Hi Amy
Why did the carrier billing offers decline?
Thanks

Mostly it's due to the regulations in the various countries having gotten much tighter. Shady offers tend to convert the best. Now that almost all offers are compliant they don't convert a fraction as well as the old ones.

Level of competition has also gone up - because any newbie could direct-link to these. So costs have gone up to eliminate profit margins.

Lastly, the amount of bot traffic in mobile carrier traffic has gone from practically non-existent to considerable over the last few months - which has made it more expensive to test a new carrier (to weed out placements that have large % of bot traffic).

There are probably other reasons too but these are the main ones that I know of.
