Suppose you are promoting some offer, it's going ok but you suspect leads scrubbing either from the network or the advertiser, or both..
I know it is easy to open your own network using hasoffers but how to get that same offer on your network, this part i don't know.
Any ideas?
Call the advertiser of the offer and say, "Hey I'm Yet Another Affiliate Network May I Has Your Offer." I don't understand what you're confused about.
P.S. I get the irony of my signature.
i can assure you he's the most russian man on earth ;-)
but "the angry russian" already answered your question. call the advertiser and try to get the offer..or broker it through 6 other networks if they don't want to work with you :-)
what i don't get is..if you suspect that the network/advertiser is scrubbing..why don't you simply test the offer with another network to compare epcs?
Do what the Russian said, but tell them your current rev, planned rev etc... they'll want this info
.. and don't forget to see what the best payout you can get is!
Unless you can push serious volume you will have a tough time going direct...
You can do what most of the second tier networks do...just broker from the big networks and take small margins.
I'm always curious what "serious volume" means. Is $1,000/day in revenue or leads enough? What about $5,000/day? How much does the change by offer type and advertiser?
I am Russian but don't give a shit about it so my reading and writing withered over the years. With that being said I did read what you wrote and honestly there are 100 reasons why one network converts better than another. And most networks its not in their best interest to scrub you hard and reduce your volume and make you switch to another network.
Just to name a few:
How they track cookies or S2S
Is advertiser scrubbing the whole network
Is it brokered or direct
Did they set up tracking properly
Is the network scrubbing
Did you send significant amount of clicks for your split test
Anyway, just as a recent example I tested 2 networks on a dating deal and had very similar results as you with one killing it and the other a bust. ABST - Always Be Split Testing and you shouldn't be running into this issue.
Don't be afraid to go direct. Most advertisers are happy to work with you. Volume is a relative term and will depend on the advertiser and offer, but you'll find most advertisers would love to work with you direct so you can have open lines of communication to improve quality and drive more volume.
Another option is work with smaller networks that give a shit about your business.
There's advantages to going direct and staying as an affiliate. Direct you're getting higher payouts and more transparency. As an affiliate you can rotate multiple networks and get paid out weekly. Pick your poison.
In summary, stop bitching and realize its just part of the business so manage it accordingly.
