Facebook automatic rejection - "Housing opportunities"

Hi, I'm trying to do a lead gen for real estate but my ads automatically get disapproved as it is to do with housing and they are trying to prevent unfair discrimination.

The options are either manual review or certify compliance. My lander is a little on the aggressive side with some testimonials and "as seen in". I have since created a second LP without certain elements.

Even when toning down the ad copy to " View link.com" it still triggers the "Your ad may be disapproved".

I'm now trying to boost post just to get some traction as the first two tries as creating ads got rejected.

You got an ad copy for us to check, and maybe the lander?

Check here some possible reasons, maybe you see the light;

I was getting a similar error "Your Ad may be disapproved" when i tried to use a stack of cash as the image for one of my ads.

Couple things come to mind.

- Automatic disapprovals. Entering your tracking link in the PEditor, BEFORE you upload, is it clean without redirections to a page with green or at least neutral MyWOT rating? If you have redirections at this point, are the domains in the redirection path clean too?
- The content of your lander has probably nothing to do yet with the disapproval at this stage if it indeed happens automatically.
- If you are using that "link.com" you say on the text description, remove that and try again. IME, Facebook does not like links in the Text description that comes above the image on newsfeed.

Thanks, yeah my domain is grey/neutral currently. I'm using a bitly link instead of a long Voluum link. I always thought it's good to put the link in the text? I have now removed it though.

I also clicked on the "comply with policy" and had to tick a block saying I'm not discriminating in my ads. That seems to have done the trick now though, or maybe it was the link in the text

It's probably part of this - https://tech.economictimes.indiatime...roups/61889832

EDIT - Here's the letter - https://www.documentcloud.org/docume...017-11-29.html

EDIT 2 - And here's the important parts:

"Last year, we heard concerns—including from members of the CBC—that these advertising
options could be used to discriminate against people in the areas of housing, employment, and
the extension of credit. In response to the CBC and others, and working closely with
Representative Kelly's office and leading civil rights and consumer advocacy organizations, we
developed a series of improvements that would address those concerns by:
• strengthening our policies prohibiting discrimination in advertising
• providing more education to advertisers about their obligation not to discriminate
• prohibiting the use of the multicultural affinity segments to advertise offers of housing,
employment, or credit
• requiring advertisers running ads that offer housing, employment or credit to certify
compliance with our anti-discrimination policy and with applicable law"

Thanks Raz, yeah I found that article. When I first saw that compliance block I thought it was something serious like a letter from the state confirming you don't discriminate lol. But it's nothing too serious provided you don't create audiences based on race I would imagine.

Just click Certify Compliance and wait 24-48 hours and your ads should be reapproved and running again.
