Waiting on EWA
I have applied to join EWA and am guessing that it will take a few days for them to reply as their backlog after Adtech will be pretty large.
Meanwhile. can an existing member of EWA give me an idea as to the training I may expect from them please? I hear that it's really good which is why I decided that EWA is the way forward.
I had to 'Obey' because their banners said so.

training is average, but good compared to some of the other networks. Their facebook group is one of the best resources to be honest.

Yes, I've been following their facebook page. I get a feeling of good, helpful, community spirit from the members.

lol training.
You will get an AM, he/she will tell you to run credit reports on some saturated traffic source where hundreds of other EWA noobs are also running the same offer.
Good affiliate networks don't train their affiliates on how to run offers. They focus on what they do best and that is making sure they develop a synergy between you, them and the advertiser.
Your best training in AM is the same way you trained to be a person. By failing over and over again until you get it right. If someone just hands you a campaign, sure you might make some cash of it for a week but have you learnt anything?

Personally your gonna get more in depth detailed training here in these forums by either running a follow along or posting a older case study to get feed back on...
there is stuff shared here that you will never see in any facebook group or network newsletter or advice given by any AM....
btw this is no dig on EWA I am not trying to shit on them...they do more than most to help their pubs..
....but networks aren't the best place to get reliable info....
as much as its nice to think that your goals and theirs match....its really not the case....
just some words of advice

agree. if you're waiting on the training from them to be the main difference maker then you're going to be disappointed- especially since you're used to the info here. Make sure you take them up on the invitation to test everything against other networks, you may be surprised one day

I do understand the realities here. Training was, according to some of the replies, the wrong word to have picked. I guess I should have said their 'guides'. Although, of course, they are then available to every affiliate and his dog.
The best training (school of hard knocks) comes in the field and STM supplies a pool of excellent ideas, and PRACTICAL advice. from which to draw.
Most days I catch myself looking at the most of the offers my existing networks push and think "who the fark would actually want to sign up for that - I mean, seriously?"
No darkforces, I really don't want to be handed a campaign. I can imagine nothing worse. As you so rightly say 'I would learn nothing'.
Thanks for the feedback guys. 'ppreciate it.
Now ... back to pimpin' shady shit .............
I've made my best bucks by NOT following the herd. I mean, have you ever logged in to pof as a user and seen your exacly age littering the page ads? How LAME that looks.

Well what to expect? You can expect alot of BS emails about running their Brazil and other international "Trial" offers just to find out they dont even bother to check what offers they send out and that in fact they are Cost Per Sale offers. You can also expect offers with 0 information in their network. Alot of those 2000+ offers are brokered and triple brokered from other networks
Thats my experience.

Indeed... Their Brazil "trials" ruffled my feathers, not just because they were expensive ($70 US equivalent for 2 bottles? Seriously?

), but also: Since you're not deceptively rebilling your customers (
bravo!), why the hell don't you go ahead and offer some local payment processing options? I've seen the backend of some Brazil e-commerce operations, and only around 20% of consumers pay via credit card when other
local payment options are available.

But surely, there must be some bad points

Didn't you admit to falling for guru products and hype in a past thread? Seems to me like you're still on the hunt for that magic bullet system, or maybe you just like learning for the sake of learning?
I'm not trying to hate on you, I've just been watching your posts and threads and I'm getting concerned that your stuck in the cycle of information consumption. There are affiliates who tell me they been in the game 2 years and they KNOW everything but don't do jack shit with it. I'm just hoping you're not one of those guys. If you are STOP, you're already on networks you only need 3 to start. Still looking for traffic STOP pick one and make it happen.
Stop reading start doing. I challenge you to reduce your consumption and increase your PRODUCTION for the next 30 days.

Ooo @AngryRussian you are angry. LOL
But seriously, I agree about the information intake. It's relentless.
To curb this, I now only work with NB, use POF as my traffic source and read STM daily out of choice. I really like the attitude, and support, of Ben and Shannon, together with a consistent traffic flow. All guru email BS is blocked from my inbox.
Christian Weselak is the only AM whos emails get through. He's not set himself up as a 'guru'. He just really knows what he is doing. Came up the hard way and is good enough to share some crumbs when he has the time.
I will give EWA as miss from what I've read here.
Thanks for telling it like it really is guys.
@AngryRussian I'm onto your challenge!

Speaking about the information overload and the idea of sticking to one thing. I think we all have the same experience to some degree because when you are new there is so much you don't know and at the same time so much information around.
The thing that I found by really sticking with one thing for awhile was that when I got fairly good and profitable within this one narrow area of IM I then had a decent bullshit filter. If someone was talking about the subject that I really knew and experienced and their information/advice was accurate and fitting with my experience then I had a bit confidence that this was a trusted source for other stuff I knew little about.
The opposite is of course true as well, when someone was out there giving advice that I knew from experience was bad then I could ignore whatever else they had to say. I understand this isn't foolproof but I think it helps find the information that's at least worth paying attention too.

@information guzzlers
Pick a method and stick to it.
Then experiment with other stuff after you rinse and repeat.
@EWA Training / Guides Topic.
The Email EWA Guides are legit and do provide some insight, I skimmed through these posts quickly but
I think a few people were degrading them.
If you actually try what the guides tell you do there is a good change you can make money if
"you know what you are doing" what I mean by that is tracking your shit correctly and having common sense.
I'm not aware of another 'network' that is happy to inform you that 'advertorials on pulse360 for this particular offer' is working.
But i'm not here to convince anyone of anything. To each is own opinion ..

I wonder if this stuff works on our landers. Has anyone tried this?

He,he. It reminded me of the 1970s illegal subliminal frames that some advertisers slipped ino TV and film advertising. But poorly executed. I think Ryan included it as a gag, but, to me it just looked tacky.

Off topic but subliminal advertising doesn't need to be illegal because it doesn't work. I'll hang my 4 years of psychology courses on that fact. It never did and it was never a risk to "public health and wellbeing" like so many people say.
It was a pipe dream that accomplished nothing.

That OBEY Blink really gives me the shits. I'm not there to OBEY anyone, I'm there to work with them to make some money for both of us.
