Starting from almost zero (literally)

Ok guys, so i joined the forum, introduced myself and now I'm here doing this:

Which of these 3 last items do you recommend for me? What's the difference between Voluum and FunnelFlux?

I have experience doing e-commerce sites with Opencart, i run a jewerly fanpage here in Uruguay where we have more than 50K likes (3M population here, so it's ok), we make daily sales, and manage USD 1000 monthly advertisement budget for this.

As to affiliate marketing, I'm a complete newbie. My only knowledge is this tutorial: https://www.udemy.com/laser-targeted-traffic/ in which he teaches how to make a CPV bussiness, but using Traffic Vance (Rip), joining MaxBounty, and working with landing pages (not direct linking).

--

I'm gonna keep reading that articles meanwhile I get a response from you. Sorry about my english.

Thanks a lot

Little update:

I read the Ecommerce Cookbook, definetly it's a business in which i would feel confortable, but I'm starting with setting my 1st camp (FunnelFlux version) since I already have a VPS.

I think if you can leverage your jewelry experience somehow in this, that would give you the best chance of success.

eComm is very hot right now, and since you have experience with ecommerce sites, it might be the best path to take for you. Caurmen will be publishing more threads in the ecom cookbook, so definitely keep an eye on it.

Good to see you getting started Your English is actually good, no need to apologise!

Your eComm + FB experience (seems like you know a bit of FB at least since you have that fanpage) will help a lot. FB as laser targeted as it gets. Although focused on the gaming niche, zeno's thread on Audience Insights shows you the power of FB targeting.

Looking forward to seeing progress here, good luck!

+1 for choosing FB+ecommerce over pop!

Here are my thoughts on how the two compare:

https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...l=1#post321311

To me, it just wouldn't make sense to start running pop when you already have FB experience - to me that would be regression. But if you're curious and want to give pop a try anyway, please don't let me stop you - though I would strongly recommend that you don't give up on FB altogether just to focus on pop.

Hi friends, thank you very much for all your comments.

Yesterday before all of you suggested starting with FB, I followed the "Lesson 1: Setting Up Your Very 1st Camp (FunnelFlux Version)" tutorial... did steps 1, 3 and 4... and purchased Funnel Flux as said on step 2.

The problem is that it just didn't work on my VPS despite of having all suggested requirements, and now Im concerned about if this tracker is useful with Facebook + e-Commerce. If not i can ask for refund since I'm on day 2 after purchase. Else I will keep submiting tickets to them so they can fix it. <<< Please answer me this, it's important.

So, I'm gonna start with Facebook + e-Commerce as suggested. Going to read all the valuable info that there's on this forum and come back to make an update.

Thank you all, again.

I have 2 more questions:

1- You all suggest FB + e-Commerce, but what about Facebook for laser targeting + Mobidea for example for CPA marketing?

2- Is it possible to target mobile operators from Facebook? (this is related to question 1 viability)

Hey there!

1. The thing with Mobidea offers (which are CPA) that they are not very welcomed on Facebook, let's say, and here definitely it will be easier for you to get approved/work/and not be banned if you choose Ecommerce. Otherwise you'd need to find grayish ways to work.

2. There is no real targeting for operators, BUT you can target people following the operators' pages through Interests.

What else could work on Facebook - apps. Consider working on CPI basis, although make sure all your links lead to the App store at the end.

Mobidea has answered your questions, and here's my contribution:

You can run CPA offers on FB, but keep in mind that a lot of the offers we're used to running on other traffic types are too shady for FB's liking, so you will probably need to cloak and burn through accounts.

Here's an example:

http://iamattila.com/media-buying-10...kes-offers.php

On FB you can't target stuff like OS/Carrier/Carrier/ISP/Device/Browser, only by interest/demographic. So offers that have such limits wouldn't make very good candidates.

Hi friends. Thanks for all your tips.

So... I've been reading a TON of posts and articles and decided to go 100% with FB + e-Commerce

I'm gonna start an online gifts boutique, where I'll sell very specific targeted products, for example, necklaces of fishing rods (and that things) for people who like fishing, or their family so they can gift it to them.

My products will be bought in Ali Express to dropshipper sellers.

I'll set up 5-10 campagins with 5-10 different products so i can track how they are performing after 48 hrs.

So far:

- I'm creating a Fanpage
- I'm creating my Shopify store with Oberlo app
- I'm choosing some cool products to start with
- I bought a domain and added to a VPS account so i can use @mydomain e-mails
- I have a logo

I have a couple of questions:

- Should i start only with 5-10 products of the same category? Example: Necklaces, or should i try some different products? Example: 1 mug, 1 necklace, etc.
- For AM you recommend to start with tier 3 countries, which countries should I aim for this? 1st tier right?

Hope from hearing from you some good advice, thanks in advance!

I'm not an expert in ecommerce, but will bump this thread to get more eyeballs. Also, please consider starting a separate follow-along under the ecommerce section:

https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...?174-eCommerce

I believe niche stores that have a narrow focus would be easier to get profitable with than a bigger, more general store. When you have a few closely-related products, the chances of one customer buying multiple products would be a lot higher than if you were to include less-related/unrelated products. For beginners, targeting a bit more niche may be a better way to maximize ROI, although the traffic volume would probably be smaller in comparison to more general targeting.

As for geos - this article should help:

https://www.invespcro.com/blog/globa...cs-and-trends/

I'm guessing it would be a good idea to choose from these countries. And if you combine this information with the chart here, you can avoid the more saturated and/or expensive geos:

https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...l=1#post324742

China, Finland, South Korea, and Germany are some of the geos with high % of sales attributed to ecommerce, that are not on the top 10 most-expensive or most-saturated geos lists. I'd imagine they'd be good choices.

What do you think?
