My Sucess Story Before and Question About Which Product to Promote

Hi Everyone,

I just signed up at STM and would like to fire a few question ASAP to avoid procrastination.

Before I write my question, let me first tell you my story about making money online.

I started blogging since 2008 with my programming site that now earns more than $3000 a month in Adsense.

In March 2014, I discovered how viralnova.com earned through Facebook and follow its footsteps. From March 2014 to July 2015, I earned around $150,000 in net profit. After July 2015, Facebook has changed its algorithm and penalizing viral sites. This is where I ended up losing monthly income.

Last December 2016, I joined Linkshare as an affiliate promoting products related to my programming niche and have earned 23,158.60 to date. But now, I hardly earn $800 per month on Linkshare. This is due to some misunderstanding on the product I promoted which I cannot promote now on Adwords.

And last month I tried to use native ad network to drive traffic to my viral site to no avail. After that I tried promoting products on the same network plus Adwords again and end up losing more than $1,600.

Even after experiencing such failure, I learned how to advertise on native ad network like Taboola, Revcontent, MGID, and some other network. I also joined as an affiliate on Maxbounty, Peerfly and some other CPA network. I also know how to use tracking tools like Voluum now. I just started this month promoting product of type Sales (CPS) and stop running the campaign on Adwords and native ad network yesterday after losing some money and join here in the hope to find some answers to my question.

As of now, I have around $22,000 in capital plus $5,000 to $6,000 in Adsense income for my programming and news site minus $4,000 monthly expenses for running my business (expenses like employees, web hosting, etc). As you can see, my monthly income now is not that much. But it’s enough to venture again on affiliate marketing.

I still consider myself as a newbie in affiliate marketing that’s why I didn’t stop reading blogs related on affiliate marketing until I found STM.

So my question is, what is the best product to promote based on my experience? I read the article of DR. NGO and he said that CPA is the best offer to promote. But I don’t know where to start. How to find such profitable product. I don’t have any problem promoting it on Adwords, native ad network or even on Facebook as I have already tried all of them. The only thing that I don’t know is how to find the best product to promote and how to promote it and make it profitable.

I would be very glad if someone here can guide me or even tell me the best product to start with and where to promote it. My goal is to make $10,000 to $20,000 profit every month.

Thank you very much.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

You're actually in a pretty good situation, you have some regular income from your programming sites, and I'm sure you should be able to lower your expenses ... 5-6k income and 4k expenses on eployees doesn't seem like a healthy ratio, you're losing way to much on staff and other things.

You also have very good budget to work with.

So the question is what vertical to focus on. There is a number of choices. You might want to play with ecommerce, which is a booming segment, but requires more complicated setup than "simple" CPA campaigns. If that's of interest, start with recent Caurmens series of guides : https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...merce-Cookbook

If you want to start with regular CPA, you need to make a few more choices.

Do you want to play with adult traffic or not? In case you do, there are 2 choices for you that work the best now : adult dating or carrier billing adult content offers.

If you want to go with mainstream, the best model seems to be lead gen now - you can either focus on simple SOI leadgen like sweeps, lotteries ... or dab into finance offers like binary or raid the cryptocurrencies wave. There are also evergreens like nutra, maisntream dating... there is a lot to chose from. Try to read one of my articles on my blog to get a better idea about what you can promote : http://www.matuloo.com/affiliate-mar...iate-marketer/

In case you don't feel very comfortable with the basic AM concepts like tracking, optimizing, LPs etc ... you might want to take the recommended newbie route and play with POP traffic for a while and promote low payout carrier billing offers or some smartlink. It's the cheapest way to learn AM. Vortex wrote a couple excellent tutorial for this : https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...flow-Arbitrage

Try to read some of the threads I linked you to and ask away if you have more questions.

Thank you for the reply. I thought no one reply on this thread.

I just read your article about "AFFILIATE MARKETING OFFERS – WHAT CAN YOU ACTUALLY PROMOTE AS AN AFFILIATE MARKETER?" and all I can say is it gives me good insights and more knowledge about Affiliate Marketing.

I also already finished reading the article of Charles Ngo particularly this link.

I read your article about "SWEEPS OFFERS – WTF IS THAT? DO THEY WORK?" and this is my main objective for now. But I'm stuck on how to create a landing for Sweeps and Vouchers offer.

I thought promoting this offer is simple as promoting "Straight Sale" as discussed in your article. I've tried Straight Sale last month without luck. That's why I want to try sweeps/vouchers offers for now.

I just subscribed yesterday on Adplexity mobile and already finished spying on some campaign. But I noticed that the campaign I spied on seems very complicated for me to do so. It has a lot of redirects and few steps before you're landed to the landing page.

First, it will ask you if you're a robot or not, then a dialog will popup congratulating you, then it runs a progress bar and then redirect you to the landing page.

At first, I thought I can just simply create a simple landing page with a button that says "Click to continue to the offer". But after seeing the campaign on Adplexity, I am now wondering if I can just simply create a simple landing page or follow what I have just discover. BTW, I'm a programmer and I can create this kind of landing page after studying how it works. What I want to know is which one is better? A simple one or a more complicated one?

Additionally, I created a separate thread on this about what I noticed when downloading the landing page. Here's the link.

Matuloo, I would be very grateful if you can give me an advice on what's the best landing page for sweeps and vouchers offer. If there's some sample one that is available here in STM or in any website you can direct me to.

I'm particularly would like to promote the following offers that my AM gave me:

Campaign: NonStop Amazon $2000 GiftCard - SOI - US [Responsive] (589) - CPA - $2.25
Creative: 45279 - Link
Unique Link: https://ultratrck.com/?a=7269&c=45279&s1=

Campaign: Surveysandpromotions Walmart Giftcards summer - SOI - US [Responsive] (606) - CPA - $2.25
Creative: 46920 - Link
Unique Link: http://ultratrck.com/?a=7269&c=46920&s1=

Campaign: Zalinco iPhone8 - SOI - AU [Responsive] (595) - CPA - €3.75
Creative: 44284 - Link
Unique Link: https://ultratrck.com/?a=7269&c=44284&s1=
Thanks again for the reply.

Hello again jaypabs.

I see that you already received a very detailed answer on your other thread, so no need to get into it I assume.

As for the best lander for sweeps - you got adplexity account, and that's all you need. Simply spy on your competition and check what they are using. Focus on LPs that are running for several days, those are most likely working for someone. Just keep one thing in mind, even those that are in rotation for a few days can still be poor, simply because other affiliates are ripping them and reusing them. So testing them is still mandatory.

I'm also a big fan of not just ripping stuff from other people, but modifying it ... find a LP that you like, then make small changes to it, so it looks unique. Even small changes can help it a lot sometimes.

On the offers : US and AU are tough Tier-1 GEOs with plenty of competition. These mature markets are also regulated quite heavily, which limits the allowed promotional methods further. For new people, it's better to stick to TIER2 or 3 GEOS... here is an article from me with a detailed explanation ; https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...ve-TIER-1-GEOs

Try to ask your AM for offers from less competitive GEOs, it's easier to start there and traffic is cheaper too.
