Hi All,
I am new to the forum and looking for marketing advice.
I was recently approved to sell t-shirts on Amazon Merch. For those who don't know what Merch is, it is a a service that Amazon provides to sell t-shirts while holding no inventory. As your t-shirts are ordered, Amazon screen prints them and ships them out. Once the design is uploaded, the seller has no further interaction with the product.
My target niche is selling workout shirts. I have a good slogan and professionally made graphics. If any of you think it would be helpful to see my product, I can share the design here.
I followed the tutorial on Facebook Ad Creation (https://stmforum.com/forum/showthread.php?14808-Entry-level-FB-3-Campaign-and-Ad-Creation-Basics&highlight=facebook+advert) as my starting point.
A few days have passed and I have had not had any click-throughs using Facebook ads. I am looking for advice on how to optimize my ads. How to properly select interest categories, demographics, etc. If anyone can give me guidance, I would greatly appreciate it. I am brand new to marketing and know absolutely nothing. Please let me know if you need more information.
Thank you
Hey Sewtgi!
I am rather new to facebook as well but will try to help out the best I can.
First, what kind of campaign are you running? PPE or Conversion (VC, ATC, WC)
Also what kind of interests are you targeting? Here is great thread on how to target https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...1-Minute-Guide
Last what is you adspend?
If I were you I would start with testing a couple different audiences
and then move forward with the best one.
tstack,
I am running a "traffic" campaign. I'm not sure what those acronyms stand for.
My target demo is people who go to the gym. I am using keywords like powerlifting, bodybuilding, etc.
My daily budget is ~$25 per ad. I am running 3 identical ads for each ad set at ~$5 per click through.
That link you sent me looks useful. I will definitely take their advice. Thanks!
Alright,
So I would recommend running a conversion campaign and not a traffic campaign.
With a conversion campaign you will have a couple options (Click, Add to Cart, Conversion) you can
pick which one you want.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for sharing ideads.
Best regards,
Peter Ma

Can you show us your ads and the shirts you're trying to promote?
The more information you can give us on what you've tried, the better we can help.
Don't worry if you feel a bit embarassed to show your ads - we've all been there! And remember, there's no need to worry about showing ads that aren't making money - no-one will copy those!
Hi
I think its best if you run a clicks to website and you can do a promotional discount on the shirt or you can even do a giveaway which will allow you to collect emails.
1. My take on this would be to offer a promo discount for a limited time/limited quality (with a twist)
2. Take them to a landing page to make them put in their Email and Name for a discount code. ---> take them a thank you page to prompt to check their email for a "surprise present to them'
Oooh they will be like "Wut a present for me?"
You have them engaged and actually interested in the shirt, but you are giving them something else along with the discount code --
On the landing page - use the following
(use some count down scripts of people buying the tishirt or a simple countdown timer.)
Also use real images of the shirt being worn would make it look more legit, possibly get a few fitness friends to buy it and take a selfie as the gym or use the magic of photoshop.
-- use trust symbols like with Amazon logo and etc
3. Once you have their email -- Use an auto responder to give them the discount code/link to the Amazon page and make a 5 day follow up sequence to help your prospects along with the sale and use it to break away any objections and build more a desire (just like its mentioned in Cashvertising)
4. All of your emails should direct link to your sales page -- and if your copy is good and builds good will you should see sales. Let me circle back -- Depends on your niche. you can always surprise them with a guide that will help them - "5 weird exercises that are getting body builders ripped legs in 2 weeks" Ebook or whatever
All of your emails should offer value to their life, because at the end of the day they wont care what you are selling or who you are
5. I could also try instagram influences and facebook retargeting and then build a lookalike audience from your email thank you page and build an audience from there.
On a side note: this is a skype group dedicated to sharing about facebook ads and etc, you're welcome to join here https://join.skype.com/nDguF97UPYsy
