Adon is taking a step towards becoming LEGIT
So I was talking to my rep last week and I found out something interesting Adon is trying to implement to get more LEGIT. The reason they are implementing this is simple - their reputation of having lots of fraud and bots clicks.
When I was talking to my rep, this is still in its "beta" stage and so this filter can only be turned on from their back end (i.e. not by user). This filter is suppose to get rid of the fraud and bots, and up the quality of traffic so it "converts". The code name for this filter is "Tier 145".
Anyway, here is the conversation:
what ar the goals for hte campiagn
lead gen
oh, why do you ask?
i'll put a filter on so that u get good traffic
a tier we apply on the back end
sure it's a test product not ready for market yet
any time u need conversions jsut let me know I'll get it in place
so, the idea is
you apply this filter
then the quality of the traffic is better?
less fraudulant clicks and bots?
the interesting thing is... with the filter applied, you get much less traffic. what i mean is you need to bid up high before you get traffic flow
min bid right now
using all partners
k may not get traffic at min bid
avg bid for the filters is $30
according to my rep, if you want good traffic, you go for these prices:
real traffic starts at $4 CPM
real targeted traffic starts at $15
since i wanted to do some testing, i had asked to turn off tier145, and here is what happened...
can i get Tier145 turned off?
why would u want to do that?
i kept bidding up and up and i am not getting traffic
now i reset the bid to min
I told ou aht the min bid is $15 for teir 145
u need conversions right?
then the other traffic will not work for u
need to bid at least $15 .015 to get trtaffic that is quality
In conclusion, it looks like Adon is making the effort to up their quality of traffic. They know that they had non converting traffic before and now are actively trying to change that.
Maybe in the near future, they are worth another look?
When I get around to testing Adon again after my Lead Impact focus run, I will report back how it performed.

Appreciate that but nah, don't need conversions today, just wanna burn some money and brag about how many clicks I got in one hour!
Lol!
On a serious note, they obviously know their traffic is shit, at least he was nice enough to be upfront about that in your conversation. $15 CPM? Standard rate of other CPV networks. Would be interesting to see how much "legit" traffic they truly have.

Jeez. I wonder how many dollers have been burned by affiliates trying to get conversions up to now? That's really bad.

It would be interesting to get some data on the performance of this "improved conversions" traffic.
$15 cpm is the same as Lead Impact, and if its quality traffic without the bots, and it converts, then its definitely worth it.
Question also remains is how much actual traffic sits in this "Tier"

Why would they say this:
any time u need conversions jsut let me know I'll get it in place
Surely nobody will want a campaign with a goal of not getting conversions or am I missing something here?
I've never used addon (not a big ppv player just yet)

Some people use Adon to inflate their impressions (maybe they are selling a domain), others just use it for brand coverage.

Wow thanks for sharing man! I lol'd at this part too
any time u need conversions jsut let me know
At least they're giving some solid advice on how to separate the bot traffic from real users...I mean I thought almost everyone using Adon was doing affiliate marketing not shady traffic inflation tactics, but it goes to show you need to get the most you can out of your rep and be clear on what you're looking to achieve.
Epic post harrypotter! (lol)

I honestly had to bribe someone there a long time ago to get access to all their media. I tend to do that to a lot of people though.

Hi Harrypotter, would this Tier 145 improve conversions/traffic quality for PARTNERIDS that have been tested and are known to be genuine or is it a new PARTNERID altogether?
Also, are Adon keeping low key about this? Would you rather we didn't all go to our reps asking about it? Obviously we wouldn't say how we found out about it.....

no, it is not a new partnerid.
from my knowledge, it is applied to all your traffic, regardless of what partnerid you use.
lol... go and talk to your rep man
just say a colleague of yours told you. report back here what anything interesting you find out please
