Testing Mobile Content Subscription Offers in different geos

I have recently come across several mobile content subscription offers and was curious to know how they are tested.

How do we know that they are redirecting properly in the mentioned carrier and geos. For instance, if there is a mobile content subscription offer for DTAC carrier in thailand, the offer wouldnt load on my normal browser.

Any tips on how these campaigns can be checked?

What about a VPN service that let`s you choose a GEO to connect from?
Beside that I am using browserstack aswell to emulate mobile.

Mobile content subscription links load only in the specific carrier network and not only depends on the geo I guess. Browserstack was definitely helpful for checking App install redirection.

It's sometimes very hard to check them.

Best bet is to ask for a preview or screenshot from your AM.

As someone living in TH I can confirm that most of those offers are redirecting directly to payment gateways from the carriers.

What it means is that those gateways are only accessible through 3G carrier connection.

So you either need good real sim emulator like GeoEdge or be locally in the geo.

One pro tip: you can also hire someone in the geo to take screenshot of the offer for you.

Here's a thread on the same topic:

Basically your options are:

-Ask the aff network for screenshots

-Pay a local to take screenshots for you

-Use services like GeoEdge

-Actually go to the local geo yourself and get a SIM card for that carrier (I did this for TH offers during AWA)

-Just run the offer and base your decision on resulting stats without caring about how the offers actually look. If you're using landers this can be a problem though.

If I've missed an option please point that out thanks!

Thanks. Some research I was doing also found this service called simtest.it which looks similar to geoedge but with more carriers I guess.

Question is, why should an advertiser direct to another offer. At the end publisher will notice (by testing, or by checking results) and advertiser will lose traffic. Ofcourse, it might happen, but I wouldn't put too much time/effort in it to check all campaigns.

Offer is down and they replace it without notification, routing mistake, they decide themselves an other offer works better, their advertiser change it.

I wanna add, that we tested in the meantime a couple of 3G Proxis incl the mentioned GEOedge and Simtest but nothing was really working out well.... If somebody has one that is working reliable for them let me please know the name.
