Optimizing. Offers different carriers different impression volume

Hello,

I got a camp with 8 offers. Two group of 4 that work with 2 different carriers.

The first group has 5 times more impressions that the second one.

If I'm going to evaluate the offers, like @Amy explain in this post, make sense to treat as 2 different camps?

Thanks for share your opinions

Yes, definitely treat them as two different campaigns. Mobile carriers in the same country have many differences such as userbase (total traffic available), conversion flow (depends on the advertisers relationship with the carrier, some flows convert much easier than others, matuloo explains different billing flows here) and average cost of traffic (depends on supply and demand). In fact you might be better off isolating them into separate campaigns to be able to customize the bid for each. Often there is not a universally best offer for all carriers, find the best for each.

Thank you very much for share your opinion. I´m gonna do it that way.

As a rule of thumb - always make different campaigns at the traffic sources, in case there are targets that have different bidding conditions (bid level and competition) - different carriers certainly fit this.

Haha I just love it when multiple members ask the same question at around the same time - I get to link back to the first reply.

And also the 2 posts in the same thread following the one linked to above.

Basically there are 2 advantages when you target each carrier in a separate camp:

1)You can tweak bids for each carrier.

2)If you're using Voluum, you'll free up a drill-down level - when you're targeting only one carrier in the camp you won't need to drill down to "Mobile Carrier". This is a big benefit if you're testing offers and landers, where drilling down to Offer > Lander will already occupy 2 levels. If you're targeting multiple carriers then that would take up the 3rd level drill-down. So if for example you want to drill further into OS - sorry, but you've run out of levels.
