How many AN(Affiliate Network) should I work with?
Is it better to work with as many ANs as possible to compare/test offers?
But some ANs will kick you out due to inactivity for too long.
If you have the cashflow then I'd say the more the better. It's always good to have a big portfolio of offers to choose from. Testing the same offers from different networks is always smart. You always have more leverage in terms of asking for high payouts.
Not sure which networks kick you out? I wouldn't bother with those unless they had some exclusives that you know how to run.
Okay great. Thanks Mr. Green!
From my experience in the nutra field, the best advertisers only work with 2-3 networks, so i would only say 2-3
Awesome johnaff. I need to find 2-3 good ones though..
To combine the wisdom from Mr Green and johnaff, and add a sprinkle of my own take on this:
1)If you have enough cash that you don't need to worry about potentially running into cashflow problems, where you have portions of all your cash scattered across lots of aff networks, and are having to twiddle your thumbs while waiting for the next payout date...then the more networks you work with, the more good offers you have at your disposal.
And as I keep suggesting to new people: Mass-testing offers using proven creatives is one of the best ways to drastically increase ROI. So, the more the merrier! (Yes it will take more test budget to test that many offers - but usually not as much as you may think. Try it once and you'll see.)
2)So what if cash is tight?
If you don't currently have a vertical you're focusing on, sign up to several of the most newbie-friendly, reputable networks that have wide selection of different types of CPA offers in different verticals (3-5 networks should suffice), start testing to gain experience until you're finding success in at least one vertical.
Then, go to offer aggretators like odigger or offervault (or better - an intelligence tool like MakeMassive), do a search on the type(s) of offers you're wanting to focus on, and see which aff networks have the best selections, and sign up to just those.
You'll probably want to test offers in that particular vertical, that are from as many different geos and advertisers as possible. For example if NetworkA has lots of European offers but NetworkB has lots of Asian offers for your chosen vertical, it would be perfect to sign up to both.
Amy
Agree with the statements above.
For any newbie it would be sensible to start working at least with one or two, but no more networks to sharpen your affiliate marketing skills. Due to lack of experience, if you run after two hares, you will catch neither. So, do not hurry. Little by little you will find the best niche for you and etc, and right after you feel yourself more confident - apply for more and more.
Good luck in your affiliate marketing journey!
3-5 networks is a good number. And DO SPLIT TEST OFFERS BETWEEN NETWORKS. You'll not believe the difference you can encounter.
I would say no number of networks, but work with trusting networks that have been around for a long time and are reputable. No sense working with a new network that's been around a year when they could flop at any minute. There are too many networks that are fly by night operations!
Hi Amy,
I was wondering which "newbie-friendly" ANs that you could recommend?
Thanks
Mikkel
Hi @edychandrasuccess
My best advice to you doesn't belong to affiliates networks at all.
It does belong to people, means you can choose your 2-3 affiliates to start with,
But the most important thing is the relationship with the Account Manager & company you will get and how available he will be for you.
I must think that after all, we are working with people and the human part of communication it the key to success.
Good luck!
