Just read this article today and its a convincing case for using 16px font size in your websites and landers.
I always use 12 and never thought about changing this.
Anyone else have experience with using bigger font sizes and this translating to a better ROI?
Here is the article:

Its a really good point, will be trying it in the future forshiz
Excellent find! It's definitely easier to read and we all know that ROI increases when you make things easier for the prospect..
Wow I always used 12 as well...This will be interesting to test.
The specific number '16px' is unsubstantiated, but it did spark the idea of testing font sizes. I've always used 12px as well, so it'll be interesting to see what ROI differences each font size reaps. Great find!
In my honest opinion, the article is rubbish.
He "proves" that 16pt performs better by only using theory. The one statistic he used that was directly relevant to his case was from 2005.
I won't be convinced until someone tests it for themselves. Then you need to ask yourself, is 16pt relevant to every demographic?
I would be happy to find out that 16px performs best...but only if there is real data behind it.
Yeah, I gotta agree with Mr. Green here. The guy is obviously not a direct marketer, because NOT A SINGLE ONE of the many fine reasons he gives include any quantitative data about reading size affecting sales. This guy would therefore make a great social media consultant.
The only thing he substantiates is that it's harder to read when you get older, and bigger things are easier to see. His argument is kind of like saying, well, we all get weaker as we age, so the lighter a product is the more of it that will sell...
Also, I wouldn't trust a guy for web advice when he can't even check to see if his own URL works in the "About the Author" description. Nice!
I'm going to test this on a bizopp advert right now. Will let you know the results after I get statistical results
I've always used size 14+ on my landers. But I can't say I've ever split tested it with a smaller font size (though I should have)
Looking forward to your results Inversion!
In my experience a bigger font always works better. 16pt is not a rule but i can say when i bump the size up from 12 it does a bit better, especially if you're targeting older demographics.
I think it depends a lot on what text we're even talking about. In some situations raising the font size could make the entire page look more 'spammy'
Also, don't forget the fact that a lot of people (mostly men) are colour blind. Remember to run your ads through something like vischeck.com to ensure that your creatives are reaching the widest viewing audience. If they can't see it, how can they click on it?
High contrast = high impact.
Great suggestion!!
I look forward to some of the test results.
