Network Clicks Discrepancy
I've been noticing this for a while, but I keep having less clicks on my offer on my affiliate network. I get 2.1k clicks on one ad, and in the network, it shows up as 1.7k clicks. This is after I upgraded my server, because I thought that was the problem.
This happening to any of you?

Yupp.
I'm thinking the reason being is that facebook ads is also being shown on fb ipads, cell phones, from what i've heard. Just wanted to see if this happens to other ppl as well. I think I'll just redirect the mobile users to another offer because I've lost a lot of monies

It's a mix of ipads/phones, actual click losses, minor reporting discrepancies with 202, and actual click problems with facebook themself. Direting ipads/phones to a seperate landing page will help, but depending on your niche it's sometimes really hard to have it actually make any decent $. That's my biggest problem at least, i've tried collecting emails with it which works kind of well, but the double opt in rate is low!

202 showed a pretty close amount of clicks which meant my ads were getting clicks from ipads/iphones and other things. I'll have to find a script somewhere where I can redirect the users to a mobile offer which might work good with my niche. Email sounds like a good idea. Have you tried doing single opt in? How were the conversions for that?

Haven't tried single, I'm not to well versed in email but I've been told not to waste time with single opt ins, but i could definitely be wrong. (single opt though would work MUCH better)

There are dating offers for mobile phones, so maybe you could single optin an email and redirect them to the mobile dating offer. There's so much money wasted with these clicks though if you don't monetize it. Out of all my clicks, I've gotten around 10-15% mobile which ads up to be a lot.
I'm wondering if FB will ever setup something up just for mobile users.

At which point it's illegal to email them, the main reason people ask for double opt-in is to comply with CAN-SPAM.
Just redirect mobile users to a landing page telling them this offer ain't on for mobile phones - but they can take advantage of this mobile offer instead.

Networks don't count duplicate clicks either but facebook do, reason why networks dont count duplicates is to keep epc's up

Hi Dan, it's completely typical to lose 10-15% on mobile traffic. People tend to tap on ads without meaning to and close their browsers before your site loads. If you ads are showing up on apps then you can expect a lot more accidental clicks. It's part of the mobile game at the moment I'm afraid.

That is not true. The "double opt-in" process has zero to do with CAN-SPAM compliance.
It's for ESPs to keep their complaints down so they can keep their delivery rates up.
You don't need a double opt-in to legally send mail to an email address.

Yeah, it just sucks. I think I had around 20% for one of my major campaigns which is pretty big. Kinda sucks. I wonder if Facebook will ever make anything for mobile traffic.

I sure as hell hope they do. I'm noticing much more than 20% click losses through FB right now coming from South America.

I know that EWA tracks unique clicks, excluding duplicates & geo redirected clicks. Full click reports are available upon request.

Dead on. Combine that with duplicate clicks that are not counted at networks, which Facebook charges you for anyway and you can see some pretty large discrepancies.
