"product testers"
How do these 'product testers wanted', or 'test and keep' offers have any (even thinly disguised) claim to being legit?
They do have the product (eg iphone) offer at the end of the path, but from what I can see, there is NO testing involved.
I understand the whole 'free' angle on the gift with purchase offers, where 'free' can be subjective, but... 'test and keep' ?

I've been "testing" my HTC Droid for nearly two years now. I "test" my computer every time I turn it on...

I guess I didn't make the question clear...
It wasn't a question on one's personal ethics, but rather one of strategy. I've seen many angles/campaigns that were perfectly acceptable, and widely endorsed by the industry one day, but then months later were being 'served'.
How you word and structure your entire path is paramount. I was simply asking for any insights to keeping this 'angle' defensible and therefore afloat long term.

If you really want to protect yourself and prevent being "served", move your hosting offshore to hosts like leaseweb.com. Most of the serious players that push these type of landers use offshore hosting.

leaseweb.com still has offices in the US, does that still make them offshore?
