Ya I know its not much....but hey any day where their shitheaded practices get thrown under the bus....is a good day in my book....
enjoy
For a company that has no customer service, no complaints department and no regard for their customers I'm amazed they are still in business. When you think about it, google would slap your website for not having a contact us page - yet they don't have one themselves.
I think in time google will outsmart themselves and the worm will turn. Google were always seen as a progressive company with a great reputation with the general public but this is changing rapidly and their good brand name is being eroded. In Australia there has even been anti google meetings where home owners have been lobbying against google taking pictures of their houses for google earth, claiming a breach of privacy.
I for one hope their business fucks itself in the ass.
YES! I hope the FTC and Justice Dept. stick it right in Google's Mouth!
GOOGLE SUCKS... BUT YET IT HAS MADE ME MONEY. Dont bite the hand that feeds!
I can almost assure you that this will just go away. It always does. Google have way too much power.
I would like to see the FTC put more heat on them on their advertising practices as that is way more accountable than search rankings.
BTW.... this might be stupid question... but how can the government fuck with Google? The article even says about how its even more used in europe and other countries... cant google just MOVE OUT of America and just be like fuck you ftc? Then the government cant do nothing about that??
Sure its headquarters are based here, but Google is a search engine, and doesnt need an actual place to work...
I don't think Google is going to go any where any time soon. Unless people find some more conclusive evidence. It is true that without Google that you hardly exist in terms of organic search traffic. But now that I think of it in terms of their adwords paid traffic, how much do people have to pay extra because of 'low quality score'? Maybe Google didn't become the richest because of its smart auctioning in adwords...
