phoenix does a campaign

so, this is one way I have done campaigns that works.

here are the stats mid-day.

started at midnight last night:

1st day
offer: game
traffic: cpv

strategy: blitzkrieg
3000 targets added (domains off google/msn scrape based on offer doman

and related domains + domain name expanded + domain mispellsing +

keyword from spy fu from the domains)

227 targets recieved traffic

5 of the targets paused for going over threshold (2x payout)

13 targets have conversions

2 targets have more than 1 conversion

payout is $1.50
CPV is .011
total spent 41.57
total earned $25.50

ROI -38.66%
net -16.07

p.s. I already knew this offer and traffic source converted. How ? T.O.T.E. + E.S.S.

well the 1st one people can google (to get the full impact) [Test, Operate, Test, Exit]

and the 2nd one means 'Empirical Statistical Significance' [the level of information that makes a difference; varies with Risk/Reward level/Time]

well since a base sample is 7 days to get weekends too & a real sample is 30days. it still has some time.

expect to see optimization kick in on MON.

until then. just gathering data.

and yes, some of the targets are doing nicely.

looks like you'll hit positive roi soon!

im curious:
- are you direct linking your offer?
- are you using your reported cost or actual cost from your cpv network? I noticed in the stats for your performing targets it might not be taking into account the 20-30% loss.

nothing is decided tell adequate time and impressions/clicks/conversions recorded. 1 week min. and I prefer 4 weeks.

50% since at that point you need 100% just to break even

Sorry, but I'm not getting the math of how you kill targets with conversions that go over 2x payout.

If there's 2 conversions of a $5 payout, therefore $10.
You would cut it off if it's 50% above the current revenue, at $15 ($10+50% of it) spend?

The way I understand it, he would kill it at -50% - If $5 payout, he would kill it at -$10 regardless of if it had converted or not.

Just to let you know SUNDAY was the last day I tracked data for this example since I added 'ton' of new targets. (so in a way I corrupted my data, but since I know how to parse old and new adds. its all good)

never answered your ? but YES! 2x payout to offers. so 4x for 2 offers and so on.

im playing with various thresholds: start, maintain & decay

that + freq + ranking gives many options

and we are not even talking the variables LP add in

So how do you parse old and new adds

So you will run campaign for four weeks and if you did not turn it to positive ROI, what would you do? Add more targets and test again or kill it?

What is the purpose of having so many targets? To get quicker data?

Don’t rush to reply have some sleep as I am going to have a nip for 30 min too. lol

I record in excel the date, source and targets + there acceleration (how many impressions on avg in a hr or day) + length of time running and if known decay (point target starts to lose at 10%)

no I would not run a campaign for 4weeks with -ROI. 1week testing data is enough to know if worth gathering more and again this is withing threshold metrics IE: what ur willing to lose and target gain.

#of targets = amount of data / budget. the more u have $ the more u can test fast.

its all about the ratios and time
