im getting a download error for some reason on this multiple times, something about source file, anybody else getting this?

Downloaded fine for me, be careful when browsing the banners, there's a bit of adult stuff in there.

maybe since im on a mac? dont know why that would make a diff. though

I am on a win box and got some weird error. Says something like "Can't save the file because the source can't be read"

I'm on the Mac too. No problems so far ...

Just getting' 'file unavailable' on all 4 downloads. Can someone who's already grabbed them, upload them somewhere else to be downloaded?

I downloaded a while ago and have been sifting through them - there were a tonne of duplicates so I have been removing them to reduce the amount of images to deal with. Was going to sort them into folders but there are like 18,000 left, so yeah. Will rar and upload them today and link to them soon. Filesize is down to under 1 GB with the dups gone!

Duplicate deleter. Set it up first to delete all images that were 100% matches, then did 99% and checked to see what the major difference were. Most often was the presence of a URL in the corner of an image. Then did 98%, started getting a few small text changes. Stopped after then.

has this been re-uploaded to somewhere?

I think I still have the files.

Edit: I found the files but in my opinion it´s not really worth it today and I wonder myself why I keep that stuff for so many years

First it´s neither millions of banners nor multiple gigabytes.

It´s 1GB and about 35k banners.

The filenames start at about 366000 so maybe there were originally more but the dead links from zeno are exactly what I have.

By far most of the banners are not even sorted, they are just numbered so you won´t have a good overview.



Although there are banners that still can be used there are also many outdated ones just as Amy said (is anyone still running Acai? )

To be honest, I never used any of the banners myself and will also just delete the folder.

Better scrape/collect banners yourself from verticals that you run and save it with a good and clean folder structure where you can find what you´re looking for instead of just browsing through tens of thousands of unsorted files.

Lastly ask yourself for what do you need that many banners.

The share is from 2011, there banners were still one of the main ad formats, back then the share was much more valuable than it is today.

Nowadays we have pops, push, native, FB, TikTok etc so that by far most of the banners probably wouldn´t be used anyway.

Banners are still strong on adult but there are much better ways to build a collection than downloading tens of thousands of random creatives.

This is one these things that´s maybe nice to have but unpractical to use.

Have you deleted them yet? Would be curious to take another look at them, if just for shits and giggles.

And if you still have them, I could upload them to the STM dropbox and update the links in the original post.
