Newbie PPV 30 Day Challenge
I followed along iwanturcoins' Newbie 30 Day Challenge for the past 20 days and that really encourage me to do same, and you know why. Well I was really impress with his achievements and progress, than I asked myself a question, what have I done for the past 20 days, well you guess the answer.
We’re very good to make any kind of excuses and I got plenty of them such as move to new hosting, just bought CPVLab, not having enough time and so on. Yes I was busy with all those learning’s, but was I 200% committed forward IM, nope.
So that’s why I am here and beside I think it is wonderful idea for anyone who is straggling to start.
I am not getting into my past with IM as everyone stories pretty the same just different flavor, but what make the difference are some jump out of the past some still there are, I jump out. I am sick and tired of playing this WOW game “Tomorrow I will be millionaire” or this new course will make me rich now and I fees very uncomfortable, which is good.
For the past 12 months I tried everything POF, FB, CB, PPC, PPV, media buy, you name it boy and you know what the outcomes of it, I will say very loudly “I BECAME MASTER OF NOTHING.
I even bought Advertiser360 course, than after going through it, I simply understood that I need to learn to walk before to fly, I need to understand and master the most important aspects in marketing such as traffic, conversions, tracking and so on.
That’s why I stick with STM until I STACKTHATMONEY and after it too, normally I would not last a month on any forum, but now I added STM on my monthly bills and many thanks to STM being on my way.
Now enough intro shell we move to a few points, which I want to, explain before hand.
Firstly, I am not native English speaker therefore; I got a tendency to explain the things in rather different way also, my grammar would not pass an A-Level, but I promised to do my best, just please bear in mind.
Secondly, I got a very weird sense of humor, so if you did not understand please forgive me that I could not reach yours and move it on. I cannot help it to have a chance to make a laugh, joke or just be sarcastic.
Thirdly, I was debating for about a week should I go on a 30 day challenge or not, but STM’s fellows help me to make my final decision and thanks for it therefore, I can honestly declare that I am 200% committed to this Challenge including updates may be not every day, but at least every 2 days. Bear in mind I live in UK and time zone is different, so please don’t wake me up 2am in the morning for updates. lol
And lastly I do got 9-5 job and is 14 hours on a daily basis 5 days out of 7 (I cannot afford to leave this job yet, due to life circumstances and commitments) so my time for IM pretty limited however I just want to challenge myself and prove it, that everything is possible if you put your mind on it. So in my working time I would have 4-6 hours on IM and when I am off 10 hours at least. So shell we see what I can achieve with those limits.
Now seriously enough is getting to long and my finger is tired to type, let’s move to the details of my ideas for the next 30 day Challenge.
Budget
$1000 for 30 days
Tools I am going to use
Liquidweb-stormondemand
CPVLab (thanks Robert)
Affexpert (thanks Besmir)
STM (thanks big boys and rest fellows)
Photoshop Cs5
Snagit 9
Dreamweaver
Quantcast
Google Ad/Planner
Offervault
CPA networks
Neverblue
WSM
Traffic
PPV, LI for now
Now campaign idea:
Choose 10-15 targets/urls suitable to promote zip-email submits from top 1000 LI targets,
Get one offer at time
Create 2-5 LPs (by taking snap shot from the same offers on various CPA in offervault)
Adjusting them in photoshop.
Then see which targets and lp’s trigger the clicks and expand from it.
I know it’s all coming down the testing, but please experience dude and dudies if you think my angle is too weird and it’s not going to work for sure, please advice me on suitable one. Many thanks in advance
That’s it for now any advice, thoughts, criticism etc fire away and bash my head, I got strong one.
Now is 5am in UK and is time to go and do my job duty. Updates will follow when I come back home in three hours.
Cheers
Yo Roxi!
It's great that you made this commitment to yourself. Make yourself accountantable, only you can make yourself a winner.
Your set up, tools and budget is perfect.
Looking forward to watching you become a master of PPV!
Awesome Roxi! Can't wait to follow this and see you quit your job in a few months!
@ Mr Green, thank you for your support and such a true words " Make yourself accountantable, only you can make yourself a winner."
I will be Mrs Green shortly, I mean in term of profitability lol
Thank man
@ iwanturcoin thanks buddy, appreciate your support and all your help.
Updates will follow today, but for now I got to run to work.
Cheers
Great roxi!
I would suggest going with own co-reg though, you will earn much more + you can capture their mails.
@ tap1on thanks man for your suggestion and support, honestly I don't know anything about co-reg a part of just seeing it on every CPA network. I don't want to distract myself with other angles for now, but I will consider in the future.
Cheers
Wednesday 24/8/11
Hey everybody
I got little changes with my campaign angle and some updates.
So campaign angle: I know bbrock32 for about a year and he is a master of PPV and at that time when I asked his advice on PPV he suggested to me have a read and follow this guide PPV101 by Josh Todd who is also STM member and PPV master. Cutting story short, at the time I was not persistent with this angle, so I left this angle. Anyhow, after posting my first thread, I was thinking about my angle and something wasn't exactly right, therefore I read again PPV101 and made extra research on direct linking and found actually quite a few members of STM do PPV just purely with direct linking.
So I decided stop debating and hazel myself about the angle and follow along PPV101 guide with a few extra tweaks. I think it could be quite interesting CHALLENGE to see whether direct linking working or not.
That is it guys decision on angle had been made so shell we crack on now.
Tuesday 23/8/11
I mainly try to utilize my working time for IM during my night shifts as it is possible to do so, but last night whole bloody network was shut down, so I did not manage do anything.
On Wednesday morning I feel really guilty and uncomfortable that I done nothing forward my 30 day challenge, to the point that I could not go to bed and have a rest. So I had a deal with myself, that I would set up 8 campaigns and then I will have a couple hours sleep and get ready for night shift.
So all 8 campaigns are waiting approval on LI now and I plan to set up 5 more today.
My goal is, to set up 7-10 campaigns on daily basis with direct linking, do some basic demo and keyword research, find appropriate offers without pop under or audio as LI does not allow it.
Anyhow, by Friday evening I must have 50 campaigns set up and submitted for approval in LI, it only 42 to go lol
That's it for now, next updates will follow on Thursday morning and
now I got to go and crack on.
Thanks everyone for your support and reading this thread

thanks for your help
@polarbacon thanks for your advice man, I will try to figure out global pixels at weekend.
Thanks again for support
Hey everyone,
Here is my updates:
On Wednesday submitted 17 campaigns, 2 or 3 were disapprove, 6 are running already and waiting for others to be approve.
Below are the reasons why LI did not approve, all my campaigns direct linking. Can any one please explain me what that's mean, I AM VERY GREATFUL FOR YOUR HELP GUYS.
-Landing pages are not allowed to re-size automatically after launching.
- Landing page must have disclaimer information regarding participation requirements for the offer and be above the fold.
- Landing page must have disclaimer information regarding affiliation with listed merchants or brands and be above the fold.
Below is a picture of my first stats, sorry people I am not showing the offers I am running.

Roxi you need to get the "direct link" to the image in order to embed it.
Can't you edit his post for him Mr Green?

Day 6 Updates
Hey everyone,
I have not forgot about my 30 day challenge, but I had a little time for updates as I just finished today my 9th night shift in a row is 126 hours, I cannot believed that I spend so much time on my 9-5 job, but I need this earnings for IM and rest of my commitments.
Anyhow, I manage to setup and submit 50 campaigns for this week, 7 in total were disapproved and 43 are running. Not much excitement at the moment with my campaigns as is not enough data yet. A few targets I needed to remove due to high view (100) and no clicks.
Guys, how many clicks I should allow per target before pausing and considering target unprofitable, please any advice on this matter very welcome and I really need your advice please.
From all 43 campaigns only one at the moment a winner and I am thinking should I add more targets to a winner and see how it will roll, but I got to be careful with my budget.
Also if you think I missing something with my updates, please let me know and I will adjust them accordingly.
Plans for today bed, bed and bed I slept in the past 62 hours only 9 hours, I cannot believe what human beings can do when really is committed.
I check my stats for today already is pretty time consuming with a lots of running campaigns, but thanks to CPVLab as it make much easier.
That's it for today updates if you think I am missing something or would like to give advice you are very welcome in unlimited amount.
Now I am going to give some attention to my family and then sleep, sleep and sleep, I will come back on Sunday with new updates.
Cheers everyone
Below are the stats from 25 to 27th of August

Nice work Roxi
Love that long list of campaigns. For the edit post, you have to click the edit button twice. Not sure why but that worked for me...
Hey fellows, I hope you enjoying your weekend and doing something amazing, like I had a good session of meditation and I certainly needed it to peace my mind.
My Rumbling thoughts for the 1st week, what I learn, what's bothering me and so on.
We all heard many time:
You got to be persistent
You got to be 200% committed
You got to stick to one thing (at least at the beginning) and so on.
And we surely know what does this mean.
But do we know what does it take to be in those modes, how does it feel to be truly committed and being persistent. Well guys to be honest with you, I only understood that now after I put myself on this Challenge furthermore, it's not bloody surprise for me that I have not succeeded much before.
Did I had a goals set up – nope
Have I been persistent 200% - nope
Have I been committed 200% - nope
Did I ever stick to one traffic and one thing – nope (my god, shell we not to go further about it)
So what have I learn in my first week?
Know what does mean persistent and committed and being is two different things
One thing at the time
Being organised will make your life easy
Being honest with yourself will make your life even easier.
So overall is not too bad what I learned in first week, what do you think?
Short updates on the stats
43 campaigns are running
Spend $140
Revenue $16.35
Hey, I can hear you are saying where is the point? Well the biggest point is that you cannot buy anywhere in the world, courses which will teach you how to be committed and being persistent, those staff you can only learn by yourself.
This is my point and on the end of the day I spend many times more for jumping from one thing to another.
And other point it's to see whether direct linking working or not.
That's it for today, I will come back on Monday with my updates
Sorry for my English but I hope I made a sense.
Have a good day guys
Below updates on the stats
Your advices and suggestions would so much appreciated and very welcome.

Hey Roxi , good stuff man.
If you keep testing and learning from your mistakes you will definitively make it.
I can't see well the names / numbers on the screenshot you posted.
If you can post a larger one I can give you my advice on these campaigns.
Keep it up Roxi! At least you are aware of things you need to change and learn which I think means you are on the right track, trust me in another 3 weeks or so you will look back and realise that a lot of things have "clicked" for you. A couple of things that will really make a difference as well, is to make sure you reach out to your affiliate managers and ask for their thoughts/advice and recommended offers and test those offers first.... because they know that other people are getting conversions with them! You also asked a few posts back when to cut a target....as a rule i will stop a URL once it has spent 3/4+ of the offer payout if it hasn't had a conversion.
Keep going, you'll start having some breakthroughs

Hi guys,
I am still testing and submitting a lot of campaigns and learning how to be organized and work fast and efficiently and I am doing well, I believe so.
Anyhow on Monday I was off so I had a time to submitted 16 campaigns, I know that little bit over what I budget, but I rather be in front than behind. One campaign was disapproved and rests are running already.
I needed to paused a few earliest campaigns due to unpredictability, I am not still sure how much to budget per campaign and target, and any advice on this matter would be so much appreciated.
I also need advice on CPVLab as I am not sure what to do with pause campaigns, shall I delete them or leave them for later and try to do something different with them.
Please power affiliates I need you advice.
I am not going to show a picture of all my stats, as many of them still need to get more data so no point.
However, I will show the Revenue stats since I started 30 day challenge, please tell me what you think.
http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/7...venuestats.jpg

Any questions and advice as usually very welcome.
Thanks for your support and help guys
Cheers
Hey Roxi - in cpvlab ... what I do is something ghetto not sure if there is a better way.
I add this in front of paused campaigns: -------PAUSED left of the title in the edit campaign page.
This works great because each time I use optimize or go in any area, things get sorted well to easily determine which are the campaigns still in progress or paused. Works like a charm if you want to keep your old campaigns.
About the target part, I think 2-3 times payout per target so depending on the payout you would have to divide that by the CPC. I personally set mine to 200 clicks as filter to get 1 conversion at least to prevent me from shutting it down.
Hey Guys
I have not for got about my Challenge, just was busy with submitting campaigns before weekend.
So all 50 campaigns are submitted and running already. I cannot set up more for this week due to my budget for the Challenge.
So in total 100 campaigns were submitted in 10 days, not to bad or what do you think?
But the biggest issue with all this running campaigns is to keep eye on them in fact two eyes and I would be glad to have four eyes even.
Doing stats is taking so much time and with all those different data my head is spinning and I don't know to which, data to trust. LeadImpact stepped on my last nerve (baggers), CPVLab I don't know to which time zone to set up to have some kind of similarities with data, never mind my CPA network at least is calculating the money correctly.
Guys how do you deal with this matter, please advice me.
I think I will take advice from experience Guys who know what they do and do some PLs on some of my campaigns. I just wonder if can I add LPs in CPVLab to already submitted campaigns or do I need to re-submit them again? Anyone knows?
Guys I also need another advice from you, in fact too many but hear you are, that why I am here. What do you do with targets and campaigns, which have not got enough volume?
Lastly, at the moment I deactivated all my campaigns until tonight as I need to do the stats properly, review targets or add some more and now I cannot as my eyes are shutting I need to go to bed for little sleep.
I will update you further, after I done my stats.
Peace for now.
Hi Stackers, I am back
Just short updates
Reviewed 30% of my campaigns with direct linking, added some more keywords and re-activated them again. LeadImpact bidding system is change which is bad news.
So now working to add LPs on Dating campaigns, see how it will go.
Stats are not exited yet as need to collect more data.
Will update on Saturday again.
See ya later
Hey everyone
just quick updates
I was side tracked for some time with creating LPs for losers and testing them again, see if it will make any difference.
But as usual I forgot that idea for this challenge is direct linking and LPs and coreg would be next step.
So let's get back on track
I checked the stats for rest of campaigns and re-activated some which still within campaign budget, about 25% rest of campaigns were pause for now as I decided to keep them and test them later again with LPs and coreg.
Stats are not exited yet as need to collect more data.
Will update on Sunday again.
See ya later and have a good weekend.
Day 14, 15, 16, 17 & 18 30 Day Challenge Updates
Hey Stackers
I bet you are thinking that I abandoned my challenge, wrong.
I did not and I am not going too, but a lot of things were going on, on my side.
I won’t go into details as I hate to write and it is not relevant to the Challenge.
However, I will tell you in a few words, it was difficult time for past 5 days, but I manage to deal it.
With regards to Challenge I manage to stay on track a part of updates for STM forum and I am sorry Guys.
So shall we dive into updates?
Last Saturday and Sunday I spent a lot of time reviewing my stats tidying up campaigns and adding more targets for all campaigns. On Sunday I was working on my computer and CPVLab alerts kept popping up, so when I finished update all campaigns later, I said to myself: “now I can reset CPVLab alert to get new data” which I did. And then when I opened my CPVLab account online I was bloody shocked, as all my data for the past were gone, how dozy banana I was. So by resetting CPVLab alerts I actually deleted all my data. Lesson was learned, don’t mess with a data if you don’t know what are you bloody doing or at least ask or read a manual, but I don’t think there is any info about it in manual as I don’t recall when I read it.
I did have some ideas how and what to do for my next 30 day challenge, but I ended up in a mess with data, stats and so many campaigns running at the same time. Eventually manage to understand my mistakes and make some changes. Might be I should put 3 campaigns per day and watch my stats and budget with both eyes for begining, but I wanted a challenge and I certainly got it.
Next lesson learned make a clear plan and actions and stick to it. Girl, how many time you been told, but we don't listen, are we.
At the beginning of the challenge I set myself to do 50 campaigns per week so in four weeks it would be 200 campaigns, my budget for this challenge was $1000 which, I think is reasonable. So due to luck of the time or brain cells I actually never had a time to sit down and calculate how much is going to cost me to run all those campaigns on a daily basis.
Let’s do quick math, at the moment are running only 120 campaigns, so 120x$5 per campaign which is daily budget, would be $600 Wow that’s per day. Okay I did not spent $600 a day, but last Monday was $139.64, Tuesday was $175.81 and Wednesday was $168.43 that's a lot of money.
Therefore, I started to think what can I do it and where I am making mistakes.
Mistake-1 I should not run so many campaigns at the same time.
Mistake-2 I should don't run so many targets per campaign at the beginning (where, I had about 5-50 targets per campaign) and moreover, should not add more urls (where I ended up 50-400 targets per campaign).
Mistake-3 Possibly should not take on board high payout offers due to testing budget.
That's my personal opinion, if you got different then please express yourself, I won't bite.
Action taken to correct my mistakes.
I stop to submit any more campaigns at the moment due to budget. Now I would have more time to think on my running campaigns.
I spent last two days inactivating all targets and re-activating only ones which had click through or conversions, so I left 5-10 targets per campaign, depends on payout.
Added more budget for 30 day challenge.
Brain storm how I can run some campaigns off line for free, got some ideas and will test it.
That's all my actions for now.
Below are figures stats.
$1000 made funds already.
I manage to push through 28,394 clicks for past 18 days.
Had 46 conversions at various payout, including high payout offers
Have Revenue of $215.83 for now.
Earnings -$600 at the moment.
So what do you think Stackers?
See ya later
I think you are doing way to much for 1st time out and will hit serious overwhelm.
I would par back the number of campaigns u are testing. esp. with that budget.
I will read back over ur posts. Because my 1st ? would be what is your strategy, metrics, and exit strategy [ I might have missed it, so going back to read earlier posts ]
Otherwise. FANTASTIC! that you are out and doing it!
Lucrumnet
OK, I re-read all your posts. Looks good.
I myself would have done less campaigns since there is a 'curve' you go through from testing > BE > profit. and that 1st drop can be major [remember if you lose 50%. it takes 100% to get to 0 NOT 50%]
and it sounds like u have discovered that.
the 2nd is I would 50/50 test LP vs DL. I prefer DL since its fast to test. I will also say that LP seem to give longer running campaigns. I tend to do DL for low payout and LP for higher payout. ALL depends on your CPV business model. There is not 1 right 1.
sorry to see u had the planning mistake I think we all have. not calculating what testing may cost in 'worst case' scenario.
you did/do have thresholds and metrics. so that will help a lot.
I would keep in mind: there is gathering data and intel and then their is running a campaign.
right now it looks like you are in phase 1.
have a plan, have patience and by all means follow it!
the worst mistake I have ever seen traders or marketers make is to:
1. not have a plan. 2. change the plan un-methodically while in action.
I always have:
a. strategy [and reason for it] b. metrics c. entrance and exit rules d. money & risk management parameters [how much for how long and why] e. the ability to track.
If I do not or can not. I do not put money into.
Slows me down and at the same time gives me insights and results I rarely see discussed.
Keep on Keeping on.
Lucrumnet
well 1st of all let me make this clear.
Im not 'ballin' I have done very well, then very bad and now on the way back up very fast!
I have had my days and there are people doing WAAAAY more than I am on CPV. [come on chime in I dont want to PM you]
and LUCRUMNET is latin for 'love of making money for people on the net'
oh, and I need to go back and finish my thread. I lagged on the data for the last day. thx for the reminder
LUCRUMNET
btw I just had someone blow my mind on CPV so im going to dive in and 'play with nitro' [daddy wants that $20k day]
NP.
most people dont get the 50% loss 100% gain to BE and thats not exactly accurate but a 'rule of thumb' used by traders.
so here it goes.
say you have $10
u lose 50% ($5)
now you are at $5
but now 50% return is $2.50
and u need $5
so $2.50 x 2 = $5 or 100%
Here is the calculator strip to prove it:
10
50 %
5 =
5 -
--------------------------
5 =
100 %
5 =
5 +
--------------------------
10 =
-------------------------
Plan vs Concept
U have a plan if it is testable and measurable and has clear steps that are precise otherwise u have a concept.
If you can have a robot or idiot follow it. You have a plan. [ sorry to insult robots ]
And if you follow what you stated [submit 3 campaigns per day, any offer with payout $1.50-$5 for now, 50/50 DL+LPs] u are following a plan.
--------------
Phase 1 vs Phase 2
Phase one is test and optimize, Phase two is maintenance and Phase three is Decay/R&D
--------------
strategy, metrics, entrance and exit rules and money & risk management parameters
those are all dependent on offer payout, traffic cost, budget and history of offer (new or old)
my current one is 1.50/50/50/50/50/7:
1.50 offers
50 targets based on offer url and google keyword
kill target at 50% loss
keep targets that have 50% gain in own group
50% LP 50% DL. LP is lift of offer with "CLICK HERE" BUTTON
test target for 7 days if no conversion. kill it.
That is only 1 strategy. I have tested many
---------------------
Your welcome.
The more we share that works and doesnt the more we all have to share and enjoy.
Lucrumnet
Wow man, that's making so many things clear for me now. I know it's still long way to go, but as long as you have a plan you will be there.
Plan + action = movement = motion = result = experience (experience take time so don’t waste it). How is this formula?
Thank you very much for your input.
thank you
and for my next trick! oh wait!!!
im hi-jacking the thread.
sorry.
I'll start a new one
Hello Stackers, how do you do
Do I sound like typical brit? Lol
Well guys what can I say,
I think the best things I done for this year so far is to join STM and get myself on this challenge. I don’t know how far I would go without you.
Yesterday, phoenix pop in, into my thread and drop those words.
“Plan vs Concept
U have a plan if it is testable and measurable and has clear steps that are precise otherwise u have a concept.
If you can have a robot or idiot follow it. You have a plan. [ sorry to insult robots ]”
So I could not stop thinking about it and finally came to realization that I did not have a plan for my 30 day challenge. Well at least 18 days later I understood that, am I quick lol
Well, I am learning and working on my plan and changes.
So far what I done
For now are running only 19 campaigns which, had conversions earlier, due to budget, testability and measurability and honestly I cannot see a point running so many campaigns without being able to test and measure them properly, particularly when you are on budget.
So the stats for day 19 and so far is the best day.
Spent $27
Clicks 800
Conversions 5
Revenue $16.30
Earnings -$10.70 that’s making difference compare to earlier stats.
Now one thing I am trying to understand and hopefully guys you can help me.
Do you put Maximum Budget Amount per day and per campaign?
That’s it for now
And
See ya later
Stats for day 20
Spent $40.30
Conversions 1
Revenue $3.80
Earnings -$36.50 well some days like this
That’s it for now.
Have a good weekend
Spent $57.45
Conversions 6
Revenue $46.65
Earnings -$10.08 I am getting closer, but not still there are.
Something not working right, for past a few days I am trying to come up with a plan not a concept as I did, based on stackers experience. Ones I figure out that beast I will let you know and my challenge will be continue, that's right guys I am not stopping here. I'll go, go and go, test it, test it and test it again until I get blue or succeed, I personally prefer second.
That’s it for now.
