So as the title says I need a bit of advice from ye bing'ers.....


Had a camp did well (vol&CVR)...caught me be surprise......anywho...it was running in the red but showed alot of promise....

It was running in the red cuz I had forgot to select USA only and sent 2/3's of my traffic to a usa only offer (facepalm) .....

Good news is the US traffic was profitable....

BUT

here is what has happened....I paused it yeterday to clean up my mistakes and keywords....turned it back on today.....

I get hardly any imp's.....

so key stats.....most of my best keywords are QS 7+ and alot of them are 9....

the offer is total legit....

so any advice as to how to get the traffic back?

or why bing does this?

i have a theory about bing, i believe their editorial team are running their own ads and when someone else becomes profitable, they do what they can to kill it, usually giving you a range of ridiculous reasons why

and if you call them and speak to a rep, you'll get a different story each and every time you speak to one. (all of them incorrect, btw)

i think the ones you will deal with are the lower level ones who have no clue, and the next levels up are probably in business for themselves. i have no proof of this, but im pretty certain of it because there really is no other reason that makes sense.

ive talked with others about these same issues and you are not alone and not the first and definitely not the last.

if they dont ban your whole account outright, they'll make you make many changes to your campaign enought that it is neutered so bad it will be unprofitable

What do you specifically mean by "clean up"

Did you take out keywords that were not getting impressions?

Don't ever pause a bing campaign - when you edit it, always keep it active,

Just make your ads show from 6pm - 9pm if it is 10:00 at night that way you can work on the campaign and then change it back so that the ads show at all times.

Every time I used to pause a campaign they would apparently audit my account and find something wrong with what I was doing.

Your best bet is to call them and ask why your ads are not being served.

Bing / Yahoo likes to know that you are a real person. In my experiences with them everytime I call them and verify my information my ads get alot more traffic.

basically bing is slow , ive had ads get impressions on and off , sometimes they took upto 3 days before serving any impressions to me ..relax they'll come back in shortly , also if your able to keep track of bing ips/reviewer bots , check and see if they actually have come and hit your page ..hope that helps

Try waiting a day and see if the campaign kick starts again, sometimes I've experienced a delay even on a legit campaign. If it doesn't start back up within 24 hours, duplicate the campaign and run it.

Just like adwords campaigns.. i never actually pause the campaign.. just set the budget to an extremely low amount or set the scheduling to a really off time.

Worse case scenario, open a new account and put it in there.

Ya by cleaned up I mean re-did the targeting and removed a few keywords none of which really had any volume anyways.....all my big volume keyword I didn't touch.

yeah once you get some ad spend history will msn they are reluctant to find problems

with your stuff - they are unlike Google because they actually want you to spend

money with them.

Yes, I hate that it defaults to canada/us by default.

It will either take time to ramp back up, or they like to hate on campaigns that are paused/resumed. They become more like Google every day, where if you need to pause either do the dayparting mentioned above, or set a super low daily limit.

If it doesn't come back after a few days, you might need to resubmit a new campaign.

ya restarting a new camp I guess.....what was funny was I set a low daily spend on the original camp....and it overspent by quite abit....now I can't get impressions....how ironic...lol

Their system usually takes 48 hours to update also keep your daily/monthly budget high.

If it doesnt start up again, it looks like your QBR score could be low. Are you direct linking or lping it? MSN is turning into adwords and will fuck yo shit up if you got anything shady going on now a days. Ive been back and forth with them for a weeks now and trying to get my campaigns going up again...

ya thats exactly it.....what was odd though first quality score was high.....like 7-9 and even one 10.....

BUT

then like 2 days later they are all at 1-2........

that is one fucked up system over there right now......if a quality score can jump that much in 2days with the same lp.....

Or they reviewed it and spanked the QS. They do that as well unfortunately
