RON on JumpTap?

Hey folks,

I recently started my first campaign on JumpTap targeting Canada. Using en email submit offer from C2M (IPAD MOBILE - WAP) with a payout of $2.3. Now I let the campaign run for two days straight and got 74 clicks, no conversions yet.

I am absolutely a newbie on Mobile and only had some success on AdMob. As you can see frm the screen I am running this on RON and I am wondering if this is the right place to get started.

JumpTap Stats:
Impressions: 11.169
CTR: 0,7%
Clicks: 74
Avg. CPC: $0,14

Any insights on this would be appreciated.

Why is a nintendo dsi in there?

Why does some of the blackberry not have carrier? Wifi traffic?

I bid the lowest amount - $0.10 and still got traffic, so try bidding the minimum 1st and see how thing's go?
74 clicks really isn't much to determine anything, IMO.

Isn't the lowest amount .05? I'm currently bidding .11 for US non-app traffic and getting like 2 impressions a minute..

Why only test RON? Test all channels and filter the bad pubs/carriers/handsets. Once you get the carrier/handset data just scale it to other networks with cheaper clicks.

If you do ron you have to invest some money to give each site a chance and filter the bad ones out. And you need allot of data to see what kind of phone and carrier converts etc etc.

I see thanks guys. Never run any kind of RON traffic so I will probably switch to to categories.

I just tried a similar campaign in the US using RON on jumptap. Same story here with 242 clicks and zero conversions. Will have to test out categories as well.

I have to ask, how are you getting that report in JumpTap? When I click on reports all it shows me is RON and the number of clicks, impressions, CTR, but no publisher or handset data. I have my destination URL set up from Prosper ending with = but didn't place anything after it. All I did was click on the radio button that said attach tracking parameters. Am I supposed to add all those parameters to my destination URL manually?

Jump Tap doesn't have much inventory for Canada. You are going to be able to spend much more with Ad Mob. Also, if you are running an email submit try Andriod only to start. I believe you will have a better conversion rate. I haven't had any email submit or dating offer work on BB, just an FYI.

Nvm I think the angry russian's blog clears most of it up here I guess I'm placing the JT variables into those subfields and leaving my destination URL ending with =

Let's see if that works..

There enough traffic in Jumptap to run Canada.

I always turn RON off because what it basically means to me is this is the junk traffic no one else can monetize. Be systematic in your testing and think things through first. Who wants your offer, someone who can afford a high end smart phone, or someone running around with a Nokia eying all that they don't have.

Also, rule #5 Get On the HORN - If you're not on the phone for at least 30 mins a day talking to your reps you're doing it wrong.

Day part...set daily budget to $500...resubmit...change daily budget & day parting back when approved.

Or...I should add...the more legit way: call & talk to them, say you're planning on spending much more on this campaign but need to get it tested first.

I had my campaign budget set at $1000 and I submitted 10 ads. So, they're saying my campaign budget needs to be $5k?

But yea, you're right. My best bet is to go ahead give them a call. Thanks

Do you have a real website about your business or did you use your yahoo email and no website?
