Getting a new Dedicated Server

I finally decided to get a new dedicated server because my current one is way to overprized and the hardware isn't the best anymore. I've heard a lot of good things about liquidweb and their support. I know a lot of you guys use their StormOnDemandServers which are easily scalable (important for me). Would you you recommend them?

They also offer "SmartServers" http://www.liquidweb.com/SmartServers/ which seem to be a little bit better than the StormOnDemand ones..anyone got one of these?

i recommend you to use linode vps or servint dedicated server, their support is professional.

I have had a quad core dedicated at Liquid Web for about 3 years now. Their service is awesome and when ever you need help they know what your talking about and how to fix it.

I'm with liquidweb dedicated. Never had any issues, and I'm not a back end guy so its nice to have a 247 support line to call and hassle with questions.

Quad dedicated is 1k a month? Damn does it really need to be that expensive? How much traffic are we supposed to push to make that 1k a month worth it?

if it's worth the price it's not expensive..hehe..but i think if you really need a quad with 96gb ram for your campaigns the $1000 shouldn't be a problem

A quad core not quad processor. check this site out for deals. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forum.php?id=36 Also the prices are always negotiable especially for upgrades.

I currently have rackspace cloud sites and also a couple of windows dedicated servers with Codero (formerly A Plus). I am way more impressed with Rackspace service over Codero. The one thing I don't like is for some reason with my Prosper install on Rackspace when on spy tab all of the IP addresses so up as the same one which is that servers IP address.

Weird but not a huge deal for me at this point.
