Hi. i'm glad to enter the contest, just set up my 1st campaign on facebook after took all day search&learning.
Platform: Facebook Ads
Budget: total $200 and $15 per day until 08.18.11
Niche: Gaming MMORPG
Network: EWA
campaign: Shaiya (us,ca)
Payout: $1.6
Tracking: P202 rotating 3 direct links.
uploaded 27 ads with different images only. all others variables(ads title, text, targets) are same.
This ad targets 1,364,840 users:
who live in one of the countries: United States or Canada
between the ages of 14 and 34 inclusive
sex: all
Suggested Bid: $1.65 - 2.87 USD
max bid:$0.9-1.2
any advices welcome and thanks
Just an opinion:
Ouch! That's a massive audience. 14-34 is way too broad. USA & Canada in one campaign?
I suggest you run it only in Canada (or USA - but its more expensive and you can always port over once you've got some images tested for cheaper).
On broad campaigns like that no more than 4 year age incrementals.
I would urge you to use keyword targeting to reduce narrow down your audience.
a quick updates, thanks deondup for advices. i have changed almost all ads targets to 13-17 ages, single, got approx 340k audience(still a lot?). unfortunately Shaiya got paused on ewa, so i also paused this campaign.
then set up other campaign: wizard101 with 10 ads,
US 150k audience
budget $10/day
Suggested Bid: $1.61 - 3.8 USD
my bid: around $1.1
all ads got fast approved, within 30mins. then got tips "ads not delivered cause lower bid...etc" soon after. so i edit bids to same price or increase 1cent and save. the tips disappeared, ads status show Active. but no any new traffics. the cpc prices is too cost for lower payout offers. there any way to bring down bid prices? accurate/less audience? thanks.
report:
spent: $7.56

You have to bid high in the beginning and you can get a way higher CTR using ingame images. Also another thing on your targeting drop the under 18 age group and do at least 20 and up.
Are you using keywords? If your not using precise keywords at least use the category match for gaming as that will help narrow down your audience.
Why are you adding "single"? Relationship status won't affect conversions for games.
Don't focus exclusively on 13-17 yr olds, they're great for conversions but terrible quality for the advertiser.
Download the game and play through it and print screen some of the flashy images then resize and work into your ads.
follow 43flux advice...in this business, you need to make sure 3 parties are happy, the advertiser, cpa network and you. First priority is the advertiser, not you

Why are your clicks so expensive/why are you bidding so high?
Get the CTR higher with your images.
Are you taking any sort of angle to the offer or......?
