US vs Int Media Buys
I am curious what type of volume and potential ROI for campaigns are for sitescout and adbuyer for testing US traffic with CPA offers.
I have also heard that it is much easier to go after international traffic using media buys as the competition is very tough in the US.
Any thoughts from the active media buyers?

i'm doing a couple of international buys (europe) right now on sitescout but unfortunally there isn't much volume..i'm still looking for an rtb platform with more european inventory.

There is huge volume internationally, the ROI in general is usually a lot higher too.
Europe is great, UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany. Then you have Canada, Australia, South Africa and NZ.
I'd definitely recommend testing INTL traffic. More often then not my media buying campaigns are INTL.

Ya my 2 cents is that there is people everywhere....I was doing some recon in a far-away country where I thought there wouldn't be alot of CPA stuff.....boy was I surprised.....75% or more of what I saw was cpa stuff (got alot of nice banners though :P)
and as far as the US is concerned.....you can get stuff to work and there is alot of traffic....is not what you think...... actually since alot of the rebillers have had there ass handed to them via the FTC I think there is some room.....I was running a download in the $2+ range that was profitable......
You just have to test stuff and commit to it.....learn how to do banners and just launch shit....and be willing to spend...as it takes more to find what works.....

If you want a RTB I had a convo with TRAFFIQ the other day for 15k you can get on their RTB and they boast all the major exchanges...doubleclick, right, rubicon,.....I think its like 15 in total....they also have a very good RFP program....you set what you want then people bid on that.....
They will work with anyone but they want you to comit the 15k...it can be spent over a year....and they def have the traffic as they are more of a broker.....and the fees you see are all-inclusive...meaning when someone bids on your RFP thats the price you pay their fee is built in.....all IO's are handles in the system standard out clause is 5 days but less is possible....everything is even delivery.....
they also have there own adserver built-in that u can use for free.....or use your own tags(adserver)
there adserver has some pretty cool metrics built in and i would def test it out....
one really cool thing they do have for the US is demo click data for like an extra 10 cents per cpm you can see who is clicking and converting like full demo profiles.....
where they live, age, income, etc...so then you can really fine tune your shit......
like I said cool shit....

Hi Guys,
I am just getting back into media buying after some time out due to some personal reasons.
I have not been in the game for about 18 months and though i have been in the IM world, things have changed a lot!
(I have an offer coming soon as a product owner but more about that another time/another thread.)
So, i am refreshing everything in the media buying world and like i said, a lot has changed. The last time i was running/doing media buys i was having some really good success, doubling an tripling my ad spend every day (on $10k-$25k buys)
The banners was kicking butt all getting between 1% - 2.6% ctr.
Anyhow...back to today
@Mr Green, when buying media Internationally, do you have your banners in English or in the language of that targeted country?
@polarbacon, what is RTB?
Thanks Guys

International is where the ROI is at and should not be ignored, even when it's harder to find traffic sources and translate.
