Getting Banned By Google Adwords Was the Best Thing That Could Have Happened to Me.

Hey STM,

I just wanted to share a positive experience I had that came from a totally negative experience. (My apologies If this Post belongs in a diff. category in the forum)

Last week my Google Adwords Account Was shut down. Damn. The Prior month I made a juicy $3,700 on a new - ish campaign that was taking off. I created a diff campaign (different niche, diff. site, non related to the other strong campaign) knowing the risks, I tried sending traffic to a biz op offer (my review site page -totally FTC compliant by the way -- Fuck Google)

Check it out @ http://SixFigureProgramScam.net (Ha. Yeah that's me talking in the vid)

*Random site note: if you promote biz op offers, I'll let you know that the this page is converting very well for me. I get about a 60% ROI Using yahoo / bing paid search.

But anyway getting back to why Google Adwords banning me was a Positive thing. After I shot myself in the foot for being a rookie trying to sneak behind Google's Back with their stupid Landing Page Policies I had to build fresh traffic campaigns to the page and a few traffic sources (Mainly Adcenter) were not working for this campaign at all in the past.

So I scrambled to make more paid search campaigns to throw at the site, and after flirting around with some keywords and ad copy I actually saw a retarded ROI for a bing/yahoo campaign.

I'm talking 800% ROI .... wtf Google gave me about a 30% Roi. Yeah my revenue went wayy down but my profits are much better and I'm only half way through July. I have spent about $145 to make $800...

Now thats what i'm talking about! so I will probably stack this exact campaign in other accounts to gain a higher impression share, - Is this a good idea ?

*so my moral of this pathetic story is that Losing Your *thought to be best traffic source, can really give you incentive to desperately scramble to find new / different profitable traffic sources.

I'm not sure if there is some type of affiliate marketing syndrome where you create a profitable campaign and you just "don't wanna fix what isn't broken" or maybe I'm just a lazy idiot, who knows ha,

Let me know your thoughts,

J

Ben and Dave are great guys.

Can't comment on stacking accounts, though. No experience doing it. But, my best long-term ROI for a PPC campaign has been on Bing. (120%)

Good stuff! there's a huge ton of traffic outside Google Adwords, so getting banned from google adwords does not mean the end of world and your IM career.. It simply just means you are on your way to something much bigger!

@Ivan

Yeah it's ironic how losing a huge part of your online income/business can be a blessing in disguise.
