Facebook: Dating Follow Along Campaign
So, I've been pushing dating for a while now, specifically Christian Dating.
I've done around 15-20k in commissions these last 3 months, and it's by far my biggest vertical.
I was doing around $100 profit/day for a bit, but it eventually decayed, got a lot more saturated, and my ads started going downhill. Even as it became unprofitable I couldn't let go and recently I've lost a couple grand trying to make new camps, extend my demo, etc and nothing seems to do the trick.
The main problem by far was CPC. I was getting around .1 CTR on my performers, and was getting around .40 CPC. Now I can hardly get down to .70 CPC.
The lander converts well. Around 15% on average. The payout is $4.50, and my EPC is usually around .60
I would LOVE to target new keywords, but I target christian keywords since it's a Christian site, and I cannot tell facebook to only show ads only to those who like keyword x AND keyword y.
Here's some of my better ads, tell me wtf the 'other' guys who took my vertical are doing that I am not!

I have around 4 ads that are performing a bit better than these but they are all same copy just different girls. I almost always use the jesus fish cause it helps.
Thanks in advance, I need ideas from minds other than mine at this point!

You spelled "Christian" wrong in one of your ads. LOL, might want to change that

keywords will only take you that far with christian dating.
- target cities or towns that has a high % christian. States are less accurate but requires less work.
- have you tried targeting gospel music?
- there are some daily prayer apps that can work but from memory the volume was quite low
- target specific church groups. I don't know the USA that well but something like Hillsong is big in Australia/NZ/UK and you can write super targeted ads with a landing page. Check out different pastors who have huge followings.

This has nothing to do with FB. But you know what demo and offer convert well, so why not try some (small) media buys?

Thanks for this. Will try everything you said.
Alright so here's my gameplan:
- Throwin' up a 100 or so more images. I actually already did this last night, and although it still has very little impressions, i'm seeing some nice CTR's right now.
- Next, gonna make a camp that geo-targets by city. I have a shitload of data on which cities are converting, and I have no idea why i didn't think about using that to my advantage before!
- Gonna try targeting gospel music and some church groups. I'm pretty sure I have a bunch in my kw list already, but I'm gonna make a version that tells the person that they get to sign up for free because they are in that church group...lol
- About the landing page thing, I think it's going to lower my click-to-conversion by too much to be worth it, but I'll eventually give it a shot. Church groups have a very small reach, and I'll need probably 100+ LP's to get the traffic i want. I'll probably try a few to see how well it does, and if it's money then I guess I'm gonna grind it out.
Thanks a lot for the tips deon!

I use Alchemy - it's the best tool out there by far. It's not cheap, about 1k a month for me, but it works wonders. It even has an auto-optimizer that will adjust bids for you to improve ROI, along with suggestions that tell you which ads to pause/unpause. It's new so the optimizers are not perfect, but it makes uploading ads a lot easier.
