One possibility is just installing the adware (ClickPotato/Hotbar for LeadImpact). Then you will be served with 4-8 popup's per day.
I tried to install the adware for spying too, but I didn't manage to get any popups. I heard it helps when you download the adware from an affiliate link.

I heard that there was/still is a software which can spy on PPV landers, but I'm not sure if this is true.

Good luck and good ROI on those 2k

Heya,

The way I do my spying on LeadImpact was by downloading the above mentioned adware (http://www.clickpotato.com/). I just installed it on a Virtual Machine running on my PC. You may also want to look at OverPlay VPN (https://www.overplay.net/) so that you can spy on international markets as well. I started getting pops (and lots of them) instantly.

Yeah I had no problem getting pops for both TV and LI. I use IE to do the browsing, and put the browser security settings to 'Low'. Did you install the adware via ClickPotato?

I installed WinXp on my VM (XP is still the most widely used OS in teh u.s.) and i get a SHIT TON of pops from LI (hotbar for me, but i set this up months ago & i hear clickpotato is the new rage for LI pops). I haven't adjusted any browser security settings.
A few quick lessons that LI spying taught me:

a) Just because yer site loads fast via a direct link in your browser doesn't mean it loads fast on an adware infested machine running LI's toolbar (and if they have that installed, fuck knows what else they've got on their pc)... Most pops i see take AT LEAST 10-15 seconds to load. Even tho i like to spy i still close about half of the pop-ups i get cause i don't want to wait for them.

b) SPY ON YOUR OWN SHIT! Wanna know EXACTLY how your pops look to LI users? Then start a campaign and spy on your own targets! AffExpert is awesome and the preview tool is a very nice touch but seriously if you're spending ANY real money w/ a cpv network then do yourself a favor and see your ad as an ACTUAL TARGET WOULD. Set up a virtual machine and install the adware.

c) Bidding into the top position doesn't mean as much when the second and third (& fourth if there is one) place bids are popped in the same browser session. LI isn't like TV and, as such, the top spot doesn't really guarantee any type of exclusivity, even temporarily.

I have noticed on some LI campaigns that bidding lower has resulted in less conversions.

You can also buy PPVSpy. I think it's like $300 a month or $1000 for a lifetime license. I haven't bought it, I just know it's out there. With your budget, you should probably stay away.

sometimes with overplay you may not get the best idea of the pops......alotta guys use overplay to spy and such......so the ip's can get burned rather quickly.....

sometimes using a fresh proxy has helped me see what I want to see......
