My sitescout test

Hey wasup guys and gals, wanted to see if you guys can give me some sort of insight on my experience with sitescout. I tested a dating campaign last night and spent about $100 on it, i rotated 2 dating offers that convert very well on facebook. My ctr on my best 728x90 was a .32 which puts my cpc at about .23, after receiving 337 clicks i only recieved 1 lead. I also tried to landing pages and still nothing. Do you guys think my placement just sucks? Im new in the media buy space. Any insight would help.

thanks

Get a higher ctr since a .32 cpc is kinda high IMO. Also what sites did you place the ads on, can't really tell you if they suck if you dont let us know where you placed them lol.

mediafire.com and the cpc was .23 and ctr was .32

Mediafire is a horrible placement for dating! You should try different placements for sure, with mediafire focus on anything with downloads as the user is already downloading stuff, they arent really looking to get hooked up or date someone..

Did you check to make sure geo targetting was set up? Check your refferer and IP data in 202 to make sure there was nothing funky.

Were you're ads not relevant to the offer?

Visit mediafire and see what kind of ads appear there to get an idea of what kind of thing works.

I wouldn't give up I would try a few more sites, dont go for the high volume ones necessarily find sites that match your demo best.

Side note: I bet media fire traffic sux for the advertiser and your traffic quality would be bad even if you did get it to convert. The way to remedy that is to always send good quality traffic with the bad.

Sitescout has really been crappy for me. It's all the worst placements and crappy inventory on sites that they can't sell off or monetize themselves. Think about it. I've had results similar to yours: less than 1% conversion rates on offers that should fly.

So what do you suggest? Which works best for your media buys?

Really? I did some serious volume with SiteScout last year that led me to some very profitable direct site buys. Of course I was running rebills.

Yes they sell remnant, but nothing wrong with that. Plenty or premium sites have impressions left over that the big brands and networks cant fill.

I've had great success with them, and my affiliates as well. It's all about running the right offers on there.

I just finished a test on Sitescout.

Finance Offer Paying $17.50 targeting a French Site -

300 x 250 Flash Ad Direct Linked to the Offer Page.

Even though it didn't convert, I'm more than satisfied that with the right offer on the right site a couple of $$$$$ can be made.

Yeah I know the CPCs are high - so didn't run it after 2 days - just throwing money away.

Not 1 bloody conversion - maybe a LP might have made a difference.

Mind you, only needed 3 clicks to convert, to be in front regarding traffic costs.

Offer Page - http://bit.ly/mhL8fi

It was really just a test to see what impressions I could get for $50.00.
