had a friend using adroll for retargeting... said they were good.
called the contact... things sounded good but they emailed me today with a disapproval due to my offer (mens dating).

You dodged a bullet with Adroll as they take a hefty margin for doing very little.
I'd suggest checking out Triggit for retargeting. Also have them disable all Doubleclick inventory and go straight to Adwords yourself for your retargeting on that network.

Most of the inventory for retargeting comes from plugging into all the big RTB exchanges. So the company itself has to follow the rules of each individual exchange in all respects. Some push the limits more than others on the rules.
Triggit will certainly have no problem with male dating and if you've got volume will work with you on what is allowed on the different sources. Sitescout is another one you could work with as well and is a little more self serve and less algorithmically driven than Triggit.
