What web server do you use?

I'm preparing this week's tech tutorial, which will be on getting more out of your web server. However, unlike MySQL, there's not really a single obvious web server that everyone's likely to be using.

So - please take a second and tell me what web server you're running for your campaigns and tracking? If you're using several, tick all that are appropriate!

I shall, in turn, deliver some fine, fresh-baked optimisation tips in a couple of days!

@vidivo - there are no stupid questions!

This tool seems to work pretty well to tell what server you're running: http://www.yellowpipe.com/yis/tools/craftnet/

I think a large portion of the forum members use beyond hosting vps/dedis.

Good point - I probably should have asked that.

Is anyone running LiteSpeed, but NOT on Beyond Hosting?

Nginx

I am using Nginx, HAProxy , Openlitespeed, apache.

Sever never been bottleneck for me atleast. I don't like premature optimizations. Often DB is bottleneck. Better analysis is needed to detect bottleneck and remove ( or improve ) it from system.

But, i have personal preference for Ningx for its easy configuration. Devloped by a guy with taste. I don't like other closed source or patch work stuff.

What are you guys using for your load testing?
loadimpact.com is good but they are expensive $$$.

Apache, but a tutorial on using and setting nginx would be appreciated!

Tweaked apache, still running fast enough.

I'm a fan of Blitz.io for simple load testing - although if you want to get really hardcore about your load tests, you either need a multi-server JMeter setup or, as panicore mentions, you can just buy some uber-cheap redirect traffic for a few minutes
