Noob question about split testing lps with Prosper vs CPVLab

Hi guys,

I am using Prosper now and to split test landing pages. In order to do that, I will have to place all the lps in one folder and add a rotation script php in it.

Let's say I have set up campaign A and I split test 3 lps for it. This campaign targets placement A.

Then I'd like to set up another campaign B, which targets placement B and test the same 3 landers around it. I will need to create another folder, copy and paste the lps to it, setup another campaign in Prosper and replace the lp codes.

You may ask: why don't you use the rotation link from campaign A for campaign B? That's because different campaign may favor different lps, right? I cannot use lp1 for campaign A and lp2 for campaign B if their rotation link is the same.

So if I create 10 campaigns, I will have to do the above process 10 times.

I haven't tried CPVLab. Can I use the same lps for different campaigns with it?

Thanks!

Yes,

The javascript you paste before </body> for CPVLAB is the same for ALL landing pages, so you can setup a million different campaigns with 1 Landing page and it'll be the same code.

Really? Pretty sure the lpip value changes for each different campaign/landing page so that tracking202 knows what lander it is even tracking... though when you "get links" you have to specify lander/campaign etc. so it would make more sense to have a universal lander code with the specific details being passed using the t202id in the URL. However, I'm not sure if t202 does this or not...

You could test by changing the lpip number to 0000 and loading the same URL as before to see if it still gets picked up correctly.

Thanks to both of you!

Looks like CPVLab is the more convenient solution!

It's convenient when you want to split test LP's and such, but there are pros and cons to each.

For EX: in P202, you can append additional subID's and then view their performance via group overview, this isn't possible in CPVLab,

Pros and cons to each! Both good in my book though!

CPVLAB or IMOBITRAX bro. takes out all the learning curve and stop you from wasting time on learning the tracker itself
