Does anyone know if there is a certain way to target interests for dating campaigns other than for angle targeting? I realize this is a semi-broad question but I'm just trying to come up with a way to increase CTR and test out creatives on a smaller pool before scaling to the main demo. Anyone have any ideas? So... basically adding interests for no specific reason? Could just use broad categories I suppose, though some of them raise CPCs with no benefit. If your goal is to increase CTR by cutting down to a smaller demo that's more responsive... well, without any specific 'angle' you are just guessing.
You could
a) use broad categories - who knows, people in one category might be more responsive than the average, only testing would show that.
b) use tighter age groups then expand to large ones (e.g. test only 31 yr olds then expand to 31-35).
c) target a list of random unrelated interests. People who like Nike and Family Guy.
None of these things will guarantee better CTRs.
My approach would be go broad with a tonne of different keywords > get keyword stats > optimise, but you need an API platform to have any chance of that, and it still would have no guarantee of better performance.
