In truth , It’s not my first adult campaign. I ran Cutehookup US offer for 2 month (December,januray). Spent $994, earn $997. (my profit = $3 ) So I spent 1000$ and 2 month for learning, now it’s time to start making money. My goal: make stable >100$/day with >100% ROI. I never ran international before and overall it's my second adult dating campaign ever.

18-29 2,40€ per Conversion (~$3.20)
30+ 4,80€ per Conversion (~$6.40)

Ok, i will start from guide for newbies how to create campaign in Exoclick:

STEP 1:

Click to 'New Campaign':



Set campaign name -> Choose mobile/web -> choose category (amateur,bbw,etc.) -> Choose ad format (i choosed standart 300x250 banners) -> choose country. It's very easy

STEP 2:

Click to '2-Configuration and Pricing'



I always test my ads on CPC before moving to CPM. Unfortunately with CPC you couldn't set a daily cap. Minimum CPC bid for Germany - $0.050. I always set my dailt budget to maximum ($10.000). Also you can create your own banners group.

STEP 3:

Click to '3-Sites Targeting'



I almost always choose RON for tests. But you can choose premium placements at websites like Xhamster, Nuvid, Sunporno, etc.

STEP-4:

Click to 'Marketing Material'



In this section you can upload your cratives and set URL's for them. It's easy
I use Prosper202 for tracking. For example, my URL for single banner will be look like

where AD1 - keyword for your banner, so you can tracking your banners in Prosper.

You can block some websites, just add:
"-website.com" to Domains Targeting field

HOW TO TRACK CONVERSIONS WITH EXOCLICK

Go to 'Conversions Tracking'. You should see this:



1. Set name for your goal. Example: C-Date DE Adsimilis
2. Set order
3. Cost of Acquisition - set your offer payout. Because my offer has 2 payouts ($3.20 and $6.40 i set average $4.00)

Then click on 'Save' button

Then click on 'TAG' link and you will see pixel code. I always use second code (HTTPS). Copy this code and past this code in your network.

I've created my OWN banners. OWN banners ALWAYS converts better!

This banners very basic style, but this style of ads converts best when i ran Cutehookup campaign.

Ugly converts better, so i go to http://xhamster.com/photos/ and took several pictures of this hardcore women.

Yes, i spied (thanks to HideMyAss ) on porn websites and after some research i took 3 different landing page and create my own version:



I know this style (questions style) of lander use a lot of people, and i hope it's converts well.

I also blocked all high-volume premium websites and shitty websites (100 sites - mobile sites included). Premium sites like xhamster, sunporno,drtuber, etc. i will add later when i create profitable campaign on 'small' RON websites.

Nice setup! I think Adsimilis has the mobile version of C-Date DE as well, might be a good offer to send your WAP traffic too? Ask your AM about it :-).

One thing about RON, I'm new to adult dating as well, but honestly spoken, from my experience with other offers on tubes / torrents and what I hear from others running heavy in adult, always go premium. RON definitely CAN work, but it's usually the unsold inventory. Good luck with trying out RON, personally I'm running on premium only, let's see how we do as we're in the same country

Definitely one of the better planning and setup I've seen from someone new.

Your own banners will usually perform better because there's no banner blindness.

My biggest advice is you really need to be testing around 3 offers. C-date's not a bad offer, but there's a lot of good offers out for this country. The offer alone could make or break your campaign.

Also add in some frequency cap, 3 / 24 hours.

Great follow along, I'm also trying to crack DE adult, so I will follow closely!

Not much to add here , using your own banners is def a good idea and sets you ahead of competition ( if banners are good ).

I would split test c-date with different offers ( edates ? ).

Last thing to add is that bidding CPC on EXO means generally lower quality traffic ( unsold CPM traffic ).

Using CPM and bidding high costs more but quality and CR is also better.

DAY 1

Today i ran 4 creatives (one template with different women), 1 landing page, 1 offer (C-date DE DOI from Adsimilis).
I ran this campaign ~12.30 to 14.30 (germany time)

And here's the results:



As you can see Prosper202 lost 305 clicks. Very strange.

As you can see Exoclick shows that my top volume target Vid2.com received 99 clicks, but in Prosper - only 49 clicks. veeeryyy strange.

As you can see i got 5 leads, each lead brings me $6.41 (all conversions >30 age)

All my banners are the same type (with the same text), BUT with different women.
CTR 0.05% of my banners normal for RON CPC, you can see that my TOP-20 volume targets has much more click-through rate.

But my landing page CTR.... shit. I don't know why CTR is so low: should i change landing page or it's just because my clicks was very low quality?

Are you 100% sure Adsimilis doesn't have this offer? Have you tried messaging your affiliate manager? A lot of offers are actually hidden.

My suggestion is to get a VPN, and search the German tube sites. Write down the top 3-4 offers you see people running and see which networks you're working with has them. Email your AM's if they have offer a, b, c, & d.

As for your landing pages, always test your landing pages. You're at stage 1 now which is finding out which "style" of landing does the best. Once you tested a few and discover the best, now it's time to add in your own touches. Change the copy, the images, headlines, etc. and really make it your own.

Even though your ROI is -42%, you have so many things to test, and that's actually good. Few more tests should get you in the green.

DAY 2:

Hey guys!
Today i split test 2 LP's and 3 offers, BUT i should definitely re-test because i didn't get enough data to make decisions.

Ok, lets start analysis:

№1:BANNERS - I didn't get enough data.

I started my campaign with 3 NEW banners (the same type with different girls) at ~18.40 (germany time). After maybe a hour (~20.00) these banners literally died (stopped getting impressions).

My 2 top-volume banners received 250 clicks, third received ~40 clicks. And then stopped.

What i tried to do: i decided to up my bid to $0.055 but this method doesn't work. Banners still not getting impressions.

Then i decided to add to my campaign 4 NEW banners, and this method doesn't work too. My whole campaign still not getting impressions. Here's final today stats in Exoclick:

Today i split test 3 offers: C-date, FickDates and eDates. But i definitely should to run another split test, because i can't get enough data.

As you can see Exoclick shows me that i got 671 clicks, BUT in Prosper - only 542 clicks. WTF?

After this test i blocked all my target websites with CTR<0.10% . Also deleted few high-volume websites with CTR>1% - bot/shit traffic. Total 52 websites blocked today

№8: WHAT I'M PLANNING TO DO TOMORROW:
I'm planning to create and run at least 8 banners (not 3 as today). I'm planning to split test tomorrow only 2 offers: edates VS c-date. I will split test third offer Fickdates later.
I'll up my daily budget to $100 for tomorrow, but i fear i can't get so many clicks (100 dollars = 2000 clicks)

№9: QUESTIONS:
Question #1: I need to split test so much variations (2 landings and 3 offers), but i can't get enough data on RON CPC. My each banner dying after ~250 clicks. How i should to split test?
Question #2: I run RON CPC: How to stop banners die after 250 clicks?

I'm tempted to say that your banners going nowhere after 250 clicks is due to the poor CTR you're getting. As you're bidding CPC, it's all about the eCPM - means what do they earn per 1k impressions they sell via CPC. In your case, the avg. earning per 1000 impressions is: 1000 impressions * your CTR (%0.05) = 0.5 clicks * CPC.

Given your CPC + CTR that's quite a poor eCPM compared to ads that can get 0.2% + CTR. I know that a shitload of networks selling CPC priced ads work like that. It's simply backing out for them to prefer high CTR ads compared to low CTR ads. Keep in mind a CTR of 0.3% with a CPC of $0.02 will still bring in more revenue than a creative with a CPC of $0.10 and a %0.05 CTR in average.

Copy your campaign over again, it will get a burst of impressions for you

I submitted my campaign with new-banners about 19.20 GMT+1, but it seems i was too late to get approve today. And this fact means that i should to wait until Monday to get campaign approved, despite the fact that Exoclick FAQ saying that ' During week ends, campaigns are checked twice a day.' But all my campaigns were never reviewed during Weekends. Can anyone give me contacts of Exoclick rep? Want to ask about this, because i don't want to wait until monday..

DAY 3 :: Part 1
Why Part 1? Read below.

What i did today:

Today i split tested 2 landing pages and 3 offers (c-date, erovie, edates). I ran 10 banners today to get enough data, but it seems i don't get enough. I planned to spent $100, but unfortunately after 5 hours i got only ~900 clicks for $45.90.

№1: Banners

As you can see my top banner got 4 leads with very good conv rate. But unfortunately this banner contain phrase 'Why the fuck would you pay for sex?' I need to remove all 'FREE' words from my creatives, so i'm planning to edit this banner and test it again.

Here's my top-100 targets in exoclick. As you can see, some of my targets have very good CTR, so i will target these websites when i will run CPM.



And again: Prosper shows me that i got 772 clicks from Exoclick, Exoclick shows me 918 clicks.

№2: Landings:

I split tested today 2 landings. You can see them in previous post. Here's the stats:



I will stick with LP3 landing page. Why? That's why:

I split tested today 3 offers: 1) C-Date DE; 2) Erovie DE; 3) eDates DE;
After this test i decided to stick with eDates DE. Why? Because EPC (and payout $9.00) much higher than on Erovie and C-Date. I know there's not enough data, but i can't split test 3 offers because i can't get much traffic. Now i should stick with one offer. Maybe when i Iwill be able to get enough traffic i will split test again with c-date.

Why i decided to choose LP3? Here's why:



As you can see my LP3 has very good CR rate (epc over $1) for this offer. 26 clicks - 3 conversions.

№4: OPTIMIZATION PART:
After this test i blocked 75 websites with low CTR (<0.10%).

3. Split test 2 eDates offer pages: default vs blonde girl.
4. Create smart CPM campaign (1/24 cap, $0.10 bid) around my top volume websites with CTR>15% and with targets which brings conversions. I will start with 25 targets.
5. Run 4 banners.

Why i decided to run this test: I want to know which targets or ads has the best ROI, and also i want to know what offers landing page performs better.

I can't work with CPC RON, because my main problem - banners dying,traffic duying.
Also with high CTR of banners >0.20% my clicks will be very cheap (less than 0.05$). on CPM

My budget for this first test is 50$.

today i ran smart CPM campaign based around my best 4 banners and 25 target websites (25 top volume websites with CTR > 0.10%). Bid: $0.150.

Very very low volume. And i'm confused, because currently i really don't know which way should I choose now.

What direction should i go? What are the next steps? How to create high-volume campaign on Exoclick? What i'm doing wrong?

Here's the my yesterday's SMART CPM test for 5 premium websites. (cap 1/24)
yeah, i tried to bid $0.100, but got 1267 impressions after 30 minutes.. Then i tried to raise my bid. Here is my target websites and my bid:



I used old, saturated creatives, so my CTR wasn't good: (NOTE: i ran this campaign for 1 hour 30 minutes - definitely not enough volume for 90 minutes..)

I think i should stick with one high-volume website and make it work with one placement . This site is Xhamster.

Pros of Xhamster:

• Highest volume in Exo. Scalling opportunity
• I've got 4 leads from xhamster when i ran CPC yesterday. So, i think traffic quality is good.

• Very expensive. Top bid may variable from $0.30 to $0.50
• Overall CTR isn't good. (in comparison with others premium websites)

Somebody is bidding flat $0.50 CPM for ALL German targets on Exo right now, no matter video / feature placements / footer etc. Personally experiencing a decrease in volume too, but honestly spoken, I was able to spend easily $50-60 per hour bidding slightly under the top CPM for example yesterday / this week.

The lower your bid, the lower your exposure. Like 10 people bidding starting at 0.40, next bid 0.39, next is 0.38 just imagine where you'r at... let's say everybody has a frequency cap at 3 or 4... now count the impressions you need to 'survive' until your ads shows.

DAY 5

Today i ran smart cpm campaign (2/24 cap; $0.200/mile) around 4 most promising websites. Here's stats:



I've got one conversion ($9.00)
I ran RON targeting those websites in advanced settings. My ctr is very bad with RON.
But what about premium placements? As fjk87 told, someone bidding $0.5 in ALL premium placement. $0.50 is really very expensive (even with CTR 0.30% my CPC will be like $0.150)

My total stats from beginning

INCOME: $165.69
SPENT: $202.05
PROFIT: $-36.36

I'm a bit confused now, because really don't know which way should i choose if i will continue working with Exoclick.

I thinking to move on JuicyAds direct buys, optimizing my campaign on this traffic source and then moving my profitable campaign to Exoclick or TJ to scale.

Need some input from experienced guys (you ).

As we wrote via PM already, I'd look out for some less saturated sources or maybe watch for some placements on TJ which I found to be still available at around $0.30 CPM.

Signed up for Juicy Ads today and learned how it's work.
I will direct buys.

At this moment i trying to find a website that meets my criteria.

My critera:
At least 60% traffic from one country (Germany for me)
At least 1000 clicks/day for 300x250 banners
I'm looking only for 300x250. (Gifs are allowed)
I'm looking only for websites from category "Videos or Tube style". (i don't know why, just think that they will be better)
My budget for 7day placement: up to 800$

It seems that clicks are very cheap, but it's all about quality. I don't think that website with average CPC 0.01 will have good convert rate. but there is almost ALL websites have average CPC from $0.008 to $0.03. Crazy.
Other note: unbelievable CTR! some placements - 4-6% CTR.

I never worked with JuicyAds and i really don't know what quality should i expect. If you can, please can you write some sentences about quality from Juicy?

Ok, so here's my plan:



0 day: setup campaign for Germany and campaigns for other countries. Create 4 banners 300x250 (different angle)
1 day: Split test 2 landings and 3 offers. I will split test eDates, Fickdats, C-Date. Screenshots of landing pages i will post later.
2 day: ...collecting data...
3 day: Choose one landing page and one offer. Create second landing page around the best landing page from the first test. Choose the best converting type of creative and create 4 new creatives based on this one.
4 day: tests tests tests! Choose the best landing page from the last test. Create 4 more banners based on the best creatives.
5 day: tests tests tests!!
6 day: ???
7 day: PROFIT!!!

..seems i forgot something. any advices?

small update:
When i was looking for germany placements in JuicyAds i couldn't find good volume placements (>50 000 imps/day) with >70% germany traffic. If placement is cool it's sold out. Other thing, average CTR on these sites about 4.6% to even 9.99% for 300x250. i'm really worried about this high ctr and these cheap clicks.

Good thing that i found some nice placements in other countries (less developed countries) with more than 90% one country traffic, and i want to test it. I will run some tests on good TJ traffic and if offer converts well i will buy those placements.

Also i signed up for Adbucks, Trafficfatory and Trafficforce and want to test these traffic sources. They don't have much international inventory (less then TJ and Exo), but not very competitive as exo and tj.

What i learned?

High bidding -> more traffic -> more traffic quality[/B] With different bids my LP CTR was 20% on cheap traffic and 37% on expensive traffic.

If you want stable campaign - do CPM, not CPC.

If you want more traffic - raise your bid.

Always split test 2-3 offers!

Always split test 2-3 landing page angles

When you start working with new country do some research on competitors via VPN - what offers they are running, what landings they use, etc. You'll find one of 'big dogs' campaign that running huge volume of traffic. Just look what offer he running, if offer isn't working - would he run it? That's what i like and don't like in adult marketing. If you're newbie - it's pretty easily to jump in adult daitng - just copy everyone's shit. (and lose your money lol). If you running good volume - your banners, landing, everything will be stolen. (not my case yet )

If you planning to jump in adult marketing - you need a LOT more budget than 20-30$/day to get valuable data. i think, it should be at least 100$/day. Adult dating = low ROI, but much volume (if you have money for traffic).

If i went back to the start i would choose less competitive/cheap country with my limited budget. countries like russia,mexico,brazil,belgium,spain,portugal,italy, denmark, poland, etc. France, UK and Germany - the most competitive in Europe, so if you haven't good budget i will not recommend to start with these countries.

These tips seems too simple/stupid? Well. I didn't know about it before i joined this competition.

Subscribed... I never try juicy ads before..

Juicy Ads is a favourite of mine, but you have to be very careful with the quoted CPCs. it often depends on the banner that is currently in the placement.

If a banner is scoring a 5% CTR, check to make sure that it's not because the banner is camouflaged and almost completely blended in to the site. Several advertisers seem to only be there for the clicks, which means they will run creatives that get a much higher CTR than your own, thus making the CPC look lower than it really is.

Also, be sure to use a country redirect to monetize all of the existing traffic. I was bidding on a placement that had about 65% Spanish traffic last week, and it was only when I setup campaigns for all the other Spanish-speaking countries that the ROI started to explode. Chile, Argentina, Mexico... Lots of money there.

Also want to ask: are you buying only 'Videos or Tube style' website? Or other types of websites works great too (reviews, babeblog, etc.)

And maybe you can advise another network with intl adult dating offers (except Adsimilis)? LATAM countries, east europe, asia?
