Just noticed this with FB, not sure if it is a coincidence or not but I have some ads going that are doing "OK", like around .1%, anyway I noticed when I make new bids the suggested bid is a lot lower, it was .70 to 1.50 before but now it's like .45 cents to .80 for example, is this normal or is it just coincidence?
The suggested bids, besides being retarded and generally unhelpful, are biased by account history. The higher your general ad performance/CTR the lower the suggested bids, of something like that. On a new account I'll get like $1.50-2.50 suggested but get $0.10-$0.30 on my aged account.
It's normal, suggested bid price is usually totally useless. Mine usually says bid anywhere from 5 to 15 cents, which would in most cases get little to no traffic. I don't believe the price you will actually pay will lower though.
Edit: Zeno beat me
Thanks guys!
Suggested bid doesn't mean anything. Watch your CTR!
