Hey,
Okay here's my story. After reading this http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-Landing-pages I still have questions:
I have two offers that are rebills/trials that I am working direct with the advertiser on. I run both of these offers direct, meaning traffic source > offer landing page. I have optimized the traffic (ppc) to where both of these are pretty profitable consistently.
My question however is that my conversion rate, according to my advertisers, could be 10x's higher if I presell them with a pre-sell page. With direct linking right now, even though I am in the black, has a considerable drop off from after the first page submit, to the second page submit (where I get paid). To give an idea, the offer goes with submitting your basic info on first page and then second page you are offered the trial price and then you enter your card info. Now my adcopy (text) clearly tells the user what the price will be when they get that point. Its actually one of those offers where the price point drops if you try to exit and I advertise the price drop. I have split tested with using the price drop price and the initial shipping price with the former winning out by a higher margin. So something is happening in between the 1st page and 2nd page.
Now before we say get a presell page written and try that. Well I have. I've had 3 presell copies written trying to mimic other landing pages that are in the same niches. When testing these though, the conversions pretty much completely dropped to nothing.
So that's where I am left and confused at. With the traffic I have, according to my advertisers, my conversion rate should be much higher. With direct linking it is decent but I would like to scale this to its limits. Ill attach a screeny to 1 of the offers showing the drop off from submit pages.
Stats from this Monday 2/11 to Thurs 2/14

if you're preselling users... keep in mind, you're going to lose clicks that won't see the offer.
so on one hand, yes your conversions should be higher due to filtering the clicks, but your total # of clicks will be less at the same rate.
Yeah. I know the amount of clicks to the actual page will drop but overall the 1st page and 2nd page submits dropped to almost nothing (maybe a few here and there) with the pre-sell pages. So even with the lower number of uniques the conversion % still suffered
have you tried testing 2 similar offers?
maybe its their site. are they testing?
one of the offers is tailored around its kw's and ad copy that has given me the traffic results so I'm not sure I could drive it to another brand (beauty) and have close results.
I thought about the changing of there offer page but as part of my test I screened there page before starting split test and screened during and after and it was the same so I ruled that out
