Profitable Camp- Process or Accident?

You have tried many campaigns that didnt work, and finally you got lucky, you tried something new that came to your mind and this one is profitable, it worked for a couple of months then something happened and it stopped working. Then again you keep trying and hope you will get lucky, get a good idea and find another prof camp again. Sounds familiar?

I ask myself a question, are we supposed to keep looking for the next lucky camp after previous stopped working, trying every idea that comes to your mind until we get lucky again and find another profitable camp.

Or we need to have a carefully planed processes, that we vigorously have to follow to find that good camp
But if we follow a process, wont it narrow our vision too much, when you wont have any good campaigns by accident? Something that wasn't included in the process.

Or maybe "lucky campeigns" are just a result of bad processes, that sometimes do work out. Maybe it is a process in both cases when in the first case you think you are beeing creative by not following any process but in fact you are following a bad disorganized process when you could be much more organized and waste less time.

Anyways, you are probably confused by now. High volume affs, i ask you a question.
Do you have a process, your daily ritual that you are using to create new camps and find profitable ones? Are they necessary? And what are the steps if you don't mind sharing it.

Not sure why you keep using the word "lucky" but i wouldn't consider any campaign lucky. I base it on work and effort, not "luck". Maybe some "luck" goes in the background but that isn't a focus. Secondly, posted less than 24 hours ago:

Too many affiliates judge their success or failure on whether they made profit.

What would happened if your payout was doubled?
What would happen if your CPC was halved?

There are so many variables that go in to a successful campaign. It's only a case of luck if you choose to ignore them.

In my eyes, a campaign is successful as long as I learn something from it and can draw meaning from the data.

Most of your campaigns are not going to result in profit, so calling them all failures probably isn't the best way to stay motivated.
