Can you call out user attributes on FB?

If I make an ad and only target people in Alabama can my ad say "Single in Alabama?" - is this allowed? Or is it an auto disapprove?

No, FB hates that stuff because it involves writing actual advertising copy that persuades people. They want bland, boring shit that won't bother or offend anyone.

^ Kind of answers my question. Interestingly enough I got ads though REALLY easily that say things like "Single in Atlanta?" - will these get retro'd or something?

You can get away with it, but only by convincing Facebook that your offer is actually designed for the attribute you're calling out.

Definitely not going to work when direct linking to a general offer.
