Hi guys,
To put it short, I got two accounts banned by Facebook. One banned because of fraudulent payment activities (lol) and one banned within a day of creating it. I guessed the banning of the second one maybe due to my ever-changing IP since I was using my iphone 5 as hotspot to connect to the internet.
What I've learnt so far:
1. Your credit card name and address do not matter. They don't have to match your info on Facebook.
2. Don't use your iphone or other mobile devices as personal hotspot because the non-static ip will make Facebook frown.
3. After asking some experts in Facebook, it seems that Facebook has become more strict this year. And if you really want to do Facebook, you have to get used to account banning and keep creating new accounts.
I hope someone can prove me that point 3 is wrong. But it seems that's the truth.
What am I going to do now
I am going to use a VPN and got a few American IPs to create FB accounts. Since I can switch my IPs 18 times a month, I have a few chances. So I think I will experiment with a few things:
1. For the first 2 ips, I will use my two old credit cards banned by Facebook before.
2. If the first 2 accounts are banned, I will use my new credit card.
If the third account is banned too, I really have to give up, at least temporarily. That's because I don't have any credit cards. And as a small affiliate, I think I better focus my time on building up my bankroll on other less-troublesome traffic sources.
I hope this thread can help those who just have their accounts banned and wanted to create a new account.
Thanks.
I don't think IP has much to do with it. My personal account was banned. It just so happens that I have 2 personal accounts (the 2nd was created 2 years ago, and has remained relatively untouched since then). My original account was banned and I started using my 2nd account with no problems. Same IP, same computer, same browser, same everything. I did use a VCC for my billing info, and it's been getting billed normally. I created 2 accounts about a month ago, so when this account gets banned I'm assuming that the other 2 accounts will be fine too.
I don't think they ban IP's too often, and here's why.. Last week I experimented by driving around town looking for residential wifi signals. The plan was to find new IP's and create accounts from VM's. I made 4 accounts that day (lol). I went home, tested some of them out, and they failed. I think this is because I tried logging on to the ads manager too soon. I live in a large apartment building which has several hundred people living in it. Pretty much the entire building has the same IP. I also went to the apartment building next door to find a wifi signal.. I found one, and they're also on the same IP as me. So between my building and next door there's a good 1500 people. I don't think Facebook will ban 1500 people from advertising just because of me.. but you never know with Facebook..
tl;dr: I have reason to believe that IP address doesn't matter much. Try creating a new account on your computer, let it age for a couple of weeks, and try again. (I don't have proof that this works, but try it out anyway).
Thanks starmikeh! I also have a feeling that the history of the account matters. Perhaps I should let it age for 1 week first. Thanks.
I believe that history matters greatly. When I initially created my current account 2 years ago I uploaded a couple hundred pictures to it. I've logged on here and there, but not too often. A couple things I experimented with last week was uploading a few pictures and using the "add me app." Instal that app, add random people, and be a friend whore. People WILL add you. lol. I'm not sure how much this works, but it can be good for a long term strategy to test out.. Upload some pictures, try to get 15-25 friends using this app, and let your account age for 2 months. If you do this with 5 accounts and let them all age for 2 months (and it actually works) then when the time comes you should be set on accounts for a bit.
Thanks Starrmikeh! I will rethink my strategy...
I'm not claiming to be any type of FB account expert but I agree with what starrmikeh is saying. Try and make your account look real and put some time into creating it. Upload some pics, add some friends, play a game or two. If your account looks like an empty shell that was created so you can run ads then they'll take a closer look at it and make you prove that it's real.

Thanks Aaron! I will try that.
Wow, you need to be a legit Facebook user to advertise with them?!
Of course you need to be a legit Facebook user. It helps them prevent fraud and other things.
And what about CC, need a new CC for every account I assume right?
Currently I am using an agency account, could I use that same CC on a personal Fb account?
Gonna make some FB accounts and let them age too..
Any luck with this? I'm still contemplating how I'm going to get back in. Seems like people are having more trouble with it lately.
