I would really like to look over your shoulder when you start a new campaign, Brainstorm angles and pick the right traffic source to generate high volume

Thanks

It was be fuckin tits to see something about mobile landing pages

I think that your strongest skills are in your ability to create original campaigns and copywriting. Please don't make a guide on doing something technical when there are so many other resources devoted to those topics.

I'd love to hear about how you form unique angles on new campaigns and test each approach. An emphasis on copywriting and deciding on what direction to take when you don't have a clear path would be key for me. [A lot of original ideas have 'meh' results].

I voted for starting new campaigns. I'd like to see the thought process that goes into laying out a new campaign and how you put it together. Do you start with an offer or traffic source? How do you pick your angles and go about testing them. Especially if you're working with a traffic source that you haven't used before.

+1 to starting new campaigns. As other guys above I think it's crucial to find as many angles as possible and then expand a specific offer to a broad demo.

How about a more detailed or better yet video tutorial for setting up STM tracker properly and its functions. I am sure that would be beneficial for all and more people will opt to get the tracker vs any other.

You have a budget of $1-2k: show us how you use that money to create a profitable campaign and then scale to test and create new campaigns using only your profits - thanks!

02-04-2013 06:45 AM #13 Mr Green (Administrator)

Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

New campaign creation guide looks to be the winner atm. I'll give voting another day.

Starting up a new campaign... for mobile.
And make it profitable in 3 hrs.

02-04-2013 07:46 AM #16 Mr Green (Administrator)

There's enough posts on starting new campaigns, just check out any successful follow along or camp guide! Bring on some mobile nuggets!

02-04-2013 08:28 AM #19 zeno (Administrator)

+1 for something mobile focused, e.g. scoping out a decent mobile offer, rolling out some camps on low minimum spend traffic sources, how to structure the ads/tracking/landers/etc., optimise and then where to scale to.

02-04-2013 08:56 AM #20 andyscraven (Member)

As Mobile is growing like crazy I voted for that! Specifics: Landers that get a high CTR, Best Tracking techniques (CPVLab based ideally), Best Traffic Sources, Targeting for best Phones and do different offers work for different handsets, iPhones, Galaxy etc or do they all like the same kind of offer? And Finally, Thanks again Mr Green! Threads like this all go to prove that STM is way out there in its value for money ratio!

Very interested in mobile, especially how to get web campaigns successful on mobile.

The mobile section here is quiet lately, so it can use some fresh info.

02-04-2013 10:23 AM #22 dggcoil (Member)

I would add - selecting traffic source for Media Buy: Not FB or POF
And Scaling...

I'm not really sure if "Starting New Campaigns" would fit for my current thirst for knowledge..

I'm 35+ and unfortunately i started my AM career only in mid 2011, for this reason i feel like i've missed some of the most important "trains" of the last 10 years like

- Dialers, Content lockers
- 1c clicks on adwords, myspace, FB, ... (and everything could get approved)
- No competition on PPV and other cheap traffic sources
- PIN Submits, CoReg, Rebills

So what we shouldn't neglect today ? What could be the next big thing in your opinion ?
This would be the best "Starting New Campaigns" tutorial...

02-04-2013 10:50 AM #24 fjk87 (Veteran Member)

Next big thing would be mobile for sure given the growing rates of mobile. Just look at LATAM/Asia Pacific/Middle East, those are like the rebill times back then on mobile today!

Mobile, and how to start a new campgain with that

Dare I throw out there setting up a new FB account

I vote mobile.
I don't think it's the logistics of setting up a campaign which we want help with. I voted this one, because I would like to see an insight into how a big affiliate sets their campaigns up.

You are right- Anyone can slap up a semi-successful campaign on any ad network using just this forum alone, BUT I want to see the big affiliate's approach to things. They are going to have a different methodology and mindset...

If you're not already smashing out $xx,xxx per day campaigns, then chances are there's a lot in your campaign process you can improve upon. Most of what is going to make your campaign successful is starting off on the right foot.

+1 for Setting up New Campaigns

i'd love to see you take your own product, in a new niche and see how you go at it.

I was cutting you some slack but OK.. 3 mins is better anyway.

Some people would call you a creative gypsy. I would just huff at that , but nonetheless showing off some of your creativity within your campaign/case study will be sweet

i voted for starting new campaigns. Would love to know when to cut an angle and when to push through

02-04-2013 07:25 PM #32 impride (Member)

Maybe there is a chance Mr.Green decides to make 2 tutorials "Mobile" and "Starting New Campaigns" ))

02-04-2013 07:27 PM #33 stackman (Administrator)

@slade i'll help you with that right now.

Angles are easy to cut, campaigns as a whole are hard to cut. The main thing to know when trying angles is to make sure your offer is a proven converter. If it's not, then you won't know if it's your angle or if it's the offer itself.

You generally want to try multiple angle before you can call quits on a campaign. The main idea is to spend 5-10x the offers payout testing each angle. ie: If your testing an offer with a payout of $5, then spending atleast $25 testing your angle.

Keep in mind lots of variables affect the outcome. So if your testing an angle for your campaign with a $5 payout on a brand new traffic source you've never tried before, with a really weird banner size (500x50) then make sure you try that angle again on traffic that is more familiar and proven.

02-04-2013 07:43 PM #34 sandyone (Member)

How about simply making the new campaign : dare I type it? ... I must, I must: a mobile one?

Everybody into the pool! We all win!

02-04-2013 08:09 PM #35 dieter (Member)

I voted for start new campaigns but starting a new mobile campaign from scratch to scale it as high as possible would be great.

02-04-2013 09:13 PM #36 laverdureshow (Member)

I think the hardest part when you are an affiliate is optimizing because I think everybody knows who to create a lander - banner.

I would like to see you going from first day of testing to profitable ... while posting every stats and thing you optimized .. so people can see that even with a -60% campaign we can still bring it to 100% (positive) ROI.

What are you saying Jordan, do we have to have battle of the case studies?....

Are Stackers fighting?

02-04-2013 10:51 PM #39 Mr Green (Administrator)

^^ Nooo not at all, poor Stackman just got diagnosed with a chronic case of hater-itis. The STM doctor is frantically searching for a cure before it gets even worse.

Another vote for starting new campaigns, I think that would be really useful.

02-06-2013 12:40 AM #43 doryphoros (Member)

I voted "Starting New Campaigns" because that might give the best insight into not just what you do (process), but what/how you THINK when you go about attacking a new camp. I think getting a good look at your thought processes could possibly be the most valuable follow-along ever.

"Starting new campaigns" with a Mr Green twist wins!

Watch this space...guide coming up!

How about : How to pickup and screw girls in under 480 ms?

For the single guys.

Not the sex lasting less then 480ms, but the getting to the sex party being under 480ms.

Although my wife says I load fast.

02-06-2013 10:21 PM #47 peteperclick (Member)

Combine the best of both worlds, starting a new MOBILE campaign maybe? The fundamentals are same, so some knowledge could be gained from non-mobile campaigns as well!

02-06-2013 10:27 PM #48 dconstrukt (Member)

i'd like to see selling products vs lead gen stuff or email submits/trial offers.
