Engage BDR Thoughts?

Anybody worked with EngageBDR, specifically with managed media buys and have any thoughts to share?

I know there's been a couple of threads already, but last one was a year old and there were some rumblings on campaigns being borrowed internally.

Every affiliate I have spoken to that has run with them has been burnt by them.

that story is exactly carbon copy of what others have told me of their experiences.

My Personal experience. Lost about $15k with them. I told them I didn't want to run advertorials, which they heavily pushed.

I showed them some other offers I was running at the time and we tried those. None of them worked. At the end, they said it was my fault and they have no say whether to run a particular offer or not, even if they know it won't work.

Um, isn't that what a managed media buy is supposed to do? HMMM.....

They then said they would get me a credit so that I could make some of my money back, never heard from them again.

I cannot recommend working with them at all.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback.

Yah, I got a very strange vibe off them after chatting on the phone, and had heard most of the above before but as with all traffic sources wasn't sure how much of the opinions on them I needed to take with a grain of salt. Something definitely seems off, although interesting how performanceinsider, directresponse.net, and Heavy T all talk about them incessantly.

Wired 20k, burned for 5k, asked them to return remaining budget..they did nicely. I was running sweepstakes offers at the height of their popularity (when they were working on garbage garbage torrent site-level adbrite/clicksor traffic), yet they were spending like $600 a day to make 3 conversions. I dont know what kind of shit traffic they were sending me, but something was very wrong.

I, too, read all the blogs on Affbuzz talking about engageBDR and how they were ballin' out blowing money on parties, and making affiliates 50k/day. But these days, when I read countless experiences of affiliates getting burned, I can only come to one conclusion:

Fuck engageBDR.

Interesting that you would give weight to anything that performanceinsider says. Maybe HeavyT gets the premium traffic while outsiders get the shit remnant traffic, or maybe they pay for some of his dinners and he gives them plugs. This is a shady industry.

It's a well known fact that Heavy T has his own blog and also he has a facebook group geared towards super affiliates which has TONS of members so you can pretty much guess what is going on.
