No outing here, but does facebook have new guidelines for dating targeting?

I keep getting dating ads all of a sudden. My status has been "in a relationship" for like two years and in that time I've never gotten dating ads until the start of this year.

Now I have like 3 dating ads every time I refresh the page. Did facebook update their rules, or are y'all mufuggas just getting sneakier? I don't do fb, so i'm not in the loop.

No new guidelines, most likely someone sneaking them threw. When you sneak dating ads through to women in relationships they usually get retro'd within a few days, men tend to last a lot longer... says a lot!

I don't have "interested in" defined in my fb profile and I have been getting the exact same match.com and zoosk ads for months. They never seem to get retro'd. The ads suck, so I assume it is the brands themselves running them. I wonder if they have a special deal with facebook.

Not sure why you would want to target people who have status "in a relationship." Seems like a waste except for a few scoundrels

What I don't get is how people are getting all these ads through uncloaked to people who don't have "interested in" selected. And these ads are definitely not being cloaked.

A lot of people say they are "in a relationship" when they really aren't... I too was (and still am) one of the affiliates who always run dating ads broad. Here is the thing, in France when I make the ad I make it following the guidelines and the reach comes out to a total of 300k+

BUT

When I change the demo to broad the total reach goes up to 9 mil.. Worth running broad? I think so !

It's true you do get retroed fast but if you're willing to put in the work then there is money to be made. The amount of time i've been running in France I know for sure that I delivered my ad to more than 3mil+ with just one campaign and i'm pretty sure I got clicks and leads from people outside of that 300k demo

I would like to know how to run legit ads though. I have been seeing the same "zoosk" ad for about a year now. Same adcopy, same everything. Either the company made a deal with FB or someone is seriously killing that ish and stacking paper

I think you misunderstand me. I agree running broad is very much worthwhile. That is why I target people who don't include a relationship status at all and would love to target people who don't say which gender they are interested in (because most people don't answer this question). I hadn't thought, however, that it would be profitable to specifically target people who say they are in a relationship.
