Anyone Building SMS Lists?

I'm going to start testing SMS traffic (legally). The plan is to setup a landing page with my opt-in and then redirect them to a mobile pin submit. Anyone try something like this?

Most advertisers are weary of SMS but if you explain to them its opted in they'll generally be cool. I'll post back in a few days with some results.

Hi jtgjustin, I tried sms marketing a little before. We found if you can automatically message the users when they optin, the CR rate is very high and moolahmedia has some good lead gen offers for sms marketing. Hope it will help.

Any recommendations on whom to use for managing your sms lists/autoresponders that are compliant with the major carriers?

Is it the same as email, if they confirm the PIN on their phone (double opt) you can txt them quite a bit with most txts going through?

Would love to see some results!

This is probably a stupid question, but I have a decent list of numbers, a few hundred thousand, but the terms I was using didn't cover anything about SMS messaging, or any sort of box to check to acknowledge they were opting in. I built it doing coreg. Would this mean I can't send them messages (I assume yes?)

You can't - or you can, if you're ready to pay $5,000 fine per each sms sent.. Learn the regulations! It's very dangerous and mistakes can cost you everything you made and then some.. Check leadsmob owner or imgrind forum for more info and advice on SMS marketing
